Bad stomach/ wind problem

Hi guys,

Bit embarassing but here goes.....

I've been getting really bad wind of late and I'm not sure why. It usually occurs from lunchtime to late afternoon.

I'll post up my diet as I guess it has something to do with it. Any advice would be great.

I drink a fair bit of milk, but I know its not this as I've been drinking milk for years and never had any problems. I eat alot of wholemeal bread could this be the problem?

Meal 1
2 scoops of whey + milk + oats

Meal 2
2 slices wholemeal toast + 1 pint of milk

Meal 3
Tuna sandwich + flapjack

Meal 4
Tuna Sandwich + fruit

Meal 5
Cooked meal - veg, meat etc

Meal 6
Protein shake

Meal 7
Bowl of cereal + 2 scoops of whey

I've laso been getting quite a bit of wind anf the occasional bloatidness in my gut sometimes to. Gets to the point where i have to take my belt off as its so uncomfortable and you can physically see my belly expanding.

Not drunk milk for months but going to re-intoduce it to have with oats when i start bulking in a few weeks time.

I also eat a lot of veg, 3-4 serving per day plus 3-4 lots of fruit, buts thats nothing particulary new for me, so I dont know whats been causing it???

Sorry I can be more of a help though

High protein? Your body works harder to digest protein, maybe its making you gassy?
I know after i eat my eggs and cottage cheese in the morning i cant stop farting for an hour!, much to my workmates annoyance, calms down after then and im fine

I suffered from the same thing, no real change in diet, I found out I had become lactose intolerent so could no longer consume large volumes of milk. Try taking 1 thing out your diet each week and if no change re-introduce and take something else out until you find the offending food.

Have you changed your protein powder(s) recently? i find that some powders make my farts stink worse than sewage and others just make them stink! Although i got better gains when i was releasing raw sewage into the atmosphere....no wonder i'm single.

Thanks for the advice, guess I'll just have to put up with it.

I'll chop and change my diet, see if I can get rid of it.

I noticed the first time I took whey all those moons ago I got pretty bad wind. It did settle down after a while. I have just increased my whey intake again as I have increased my training intensity. And I have noticed since my greater whey intake I have had bad wind again. I'm sure it will settle down and I wouldn't worry about it mate.
