    Before with complex carbs.

    After with faster acting carbs.

    There we go, good examples.

Maybe not too dependant upon the honey.

    50% is fructose.

No mate. Have a solid food meal 2 hours prior to workout eg 2 chicken breasts and 80g of porridge oats in semi skimmed milk with chopped up banana in it.

Then directly after workout have 40g whey isolate with 60g maltodextrin.

    Perfect for bulking.

Try to have as low protein shakes as you can, powder and water will not get you big, REAL FOOD will make you big and get muscles.

Id say have 1 shake and 2-3 solid meals pre workout and 1 shake 2-3 solid meals after workout...all spread throughout the day. 1 shake for every 2-3 meals.

Powder eating doesnt work, its only a supplement.

Good advice there....but what if your work prohibits you from eating solid food? And only gulping down a shake is possible?

Possibly remove the whey and drink as much casein as possible, make home made shakes with healthy fats in them, etc...

being a bit pedantic , but its actually :fructose (38.5 percent) and glucose (31percent). The remaining 12.9 percent of carbohydrates is made up of maltose, sucrose and other sugars.

    Ignorance: Reassuringly Expensive.

You must make time mate, is there anyway you can seperate your breaks from say a solid 45 min lunch break into 3 15 min breaks where you can eat a pre prepped meal?

Sorry for any confusion guys, but i actually meant IMMEDIATELY before workout, and IMMEDIATELY after?

Immediately after i take whey and fast acting carbs:

    As mentioned before Gaz.

So should i be taking my other protein drink:

Immediately before workout with some oats etc?, or shall i just rely on the meal i've had a few hours before, which would have protein in it. Just a bit worried to have a shake before as i'd be a bit bloated. Unless i have to have it a few hours before, then that would be fine.

    Advice much appreciated here.

    No.

Have the pre workout meal an hour to an hour and a half before made up of complex carbs and solid protein.

If you are struggling for something convenient at work try tinned mackeral and oatcakes, stinks the office out a bit but its solid protein and O3.

Cool. Thanks Gaz. Could i have a TT's bulking shake as a meal replacement 1 or 1.5 hours prior to workout? - just thinking of timing in my schedule. I would normally have my dinner about an hour or so before workout, which works out fine, but on occasions that things get shifted around, can i have TT's shake --> then the workout --> then the other protein shake with fast carbs immediately after --> then a meal later on?

    thanks mate.

You could have a bulking shake yes. Just make sure it has adequate carbs, some fats and a good protein content.
