Benching Limiting Shoulder Gains

Its clear from my progress notes that my standing/seated OH work is barely progressing.

Ive only just realised that this is pretty much down to me starting my push session with bench press, and as I usually go for broke and give it my all, my shoulders and triceps are clearly knackered by the time I come to shoulder work.

I wouldnt have thought this was a major problem but it apparently is.

Should I alternate between doing shoulder and chest work first each week or what?

maybe move shoulders to their own day, see how you get on? if u do shoulders 1st it will prob efect your chest work out , so its catch 22, if the poundages or reps really aint increasing,  i would go for a seperate shoulders day

I wouldn't do shoulders before benching, you'll just ruin your chest workout.

Assuming you're on 3 days at the moment going up to 4 could be a good idea. I find i get a lot more from training them on their own day rather than going through the motions after heavy chest work.
