Bent over barbell rows - underhand or overhand grip????

Which grip is best, are different muscles hit/emphasised more with each grip?

I do them on my "pull" day and wondered if there was a preferred grip for following a push/pull/legs routine rather than an all over routine.

Which do you use and why?

I use an underhand grip, mainly as an overhand is much more uncomfortable on my wrists!

I prefer under hand. i feel more Mind muscle connection.
However can shift more weight going over hand.

I tend to do over-hand, just a personal preference though really

Overhand, less chance of bicep tear!

When I used to do them I alternated my grip each session.

Interesting, some go for underhand, some for overhand.

I was thinking of going alternate each session anyway just to make sure I got the advantages (and I suppose disadvantages) of both, glad someone else suggested it too.

Thanks for the replies, happy to hear more opinions.

Hmm,I feel a great muscle mind connection on over hand.and not so much so on under hand.

I believe under hand targets the lower area of the lat.

    Best bet is to alternate.

If you love something let it go,if it comes back to you it's yours,if it doesn't it never was.

Undherhand targets the bicep too much for me, which are usually fried by the time I get to Rows.
