Best Joint Health Supplements?

I'm having real problems with my elbow joints - a lot of pain on extension following workouts, which has lead to difficulty getting dumbells above my shoulders for presses, etc. I always warm-up prior to lifting.

Can you recommend a quality joint supplement? I've heard people mention MSM, Chondriotin and Glucosomine before, but can you give the name of a particular brand and dose you have used AND what help you personally gained from it? Cheers.

    www.healthspan.co.uk

I use their glucosamine HCL and occasionally their marine chondriotin and MSM

No more pain in the elbows or knee for Me. I use 1-1.5g of glucosamine a day

Cod liver oil may also help (also from the same site)

Not a supplement but I am currently reading a book called "Pain Free" by Pete Egoscue and I would recommend it for your problem as it sounds like it could be mechanical in nature. He proposes that hand, wrist and elbow pain is caused by disengaging the shoulders and disrupting the load-bearing capacity of the body. The exercises he recommends are designed to reestablish the link between the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder; release and reposition the hips, and bring the hips, shoulders and head into alignment. I'm liking it, and its seems to be working better (and vastly cheaper) than the various doctors, physios, chiropractors etc that I have seen previously. The exercises (E-cises he calls them) are easy to do but a little time consuming.

Of the supps I recommend bulk MSM powder - purely based on my personal experience, so just anecdotal.

I took a supplement called Supercissus Rx and before i took it i had some pretty bad shoulder pain during bench and shoulder press. After being on it for a month i was had no pain at all, took it for two more months and am now currently off of it and have still had no pain.
