Best Weed Killer

Hey Guys,

The amount of weeds I get on my drive and gravel is rediculous.  I pull them all up and within a few weeks there back again.  I've tried some weed killers and they've done nothing.

Any products you could reccomend.

Thanks

DB

As it's a gravel driveway, diesel or bleach would do the job.  A systemic weedkiller (glyphosphate) could be used instead, and is best bought in concentrated form and diluted at home, otherwise it's very expensive.

sodium chlorate is what I use (until it is banned for public sale at the end of the year). It is powererful and actually 'kills' the ground for up to six months which ensures no more weeds can grow. Caveat is that if new growing medium is inserted weeds may still appear so you should sweep the drive from time to time. Its quite cheap compared to the weedol type overpriced and undereffective stuff.

you can still get it from the likes of B&Q, big tub is about £12

I use Round-up and dilute it in a sprayer - 1 small bottle has lasted a couple of years

Round-up is good. Might require more than one or two goes to be finally rid and then I think once every 4-6 months should suffice.
