Bicep Size

when people ask what your bicep size is, is this when your bicep is tensed or normal.

I think biceps are measured with your arm out straight flexed, and not measured as in a bicep pose.

To work out your bicep girth, you need to measure the circumference of your flexed bicep. To work out where you should measure, mark the middle point between the top point of your shoulder and your elbow with a straight arm. Then take a skinfold (using calipers) and take the skinfold measurement from the circumference figure and you will have your accurate bicep girth.

thats wrong bro, biceps are measured in a 'bicep pose' as you say, flexed as hard as you can to get them few extra mm[:p]

    Must be pumped, right.

pumped will give a "large than life" reading.
    usually measured cold.

I was always told by people who knew what they were talking about that the proper way to measure arms was to measure the arm while it's unflexed and extended.

    Really ?? That so?

Presumably then these people have never seen one of the multitude of pics on the internet of people proving their bicep size.

Biceps are measured flexed but cold.. ie not pumped up after a work out.

    lol @ this thread.

As long as you measure them in the same conditions every time so you can check on progression it does not matter IMO.

Biceps should be measured Flexed, after all this is the positio you would show your mates, is it not.

As for Un-flexed and extended, if I wanted to measure my Triceps then this is what I would do??????[:(!]
