Tried both. Biceps feel more fatigued after working them with back. Biceps feel fresher when worked with chest. I prefer training them with chest.

my call? you have many years to train many plans to do sometimes they crop up alone, sometimes with back, sometimes with chest and sometimes never at all bottom line? change training = progress as long as there is progressive overload drop sets, supersets, pre exhaust....do the whole lot over the years

My current routine - full body My next routine - chest & bi's / back & tri's The one after that - upper/lower split The one after that - chest day / back day / arms day All have worked in the past. But I prefer biceps on their own or at least without doing my back. They're stronger, I can curl heavier dumbbells, it makes me feel better..... Don't know if it's more effective though.

I'm not a bodybuilder, I've only started doing weights seriously in the last 6 months or so, but I was under the impression that when you do a bench press you are also working your triceps a little as well. With this in mind wouldn't it make more sense to do triceps and chest on the same day? That's what I've been doing.

I've always trained them with back from when I started (only about 6 months ago) in a push/pull/legs routine and a 4 day split that i'm on currently, chest tris, back bis, shoulders traps, legs. But for my next routine after my holidays i'm gonna do my tris with back and bis with chest as in my current routines my arms are always fried after doing chest/back first! So I end up doing only a couple of reps for bb curl and I'm not getting a good workout for them. Plus my dips should be better doing them with back instead of chest as they'll be nice 'n fresh

Some people would concider arms deserve a session on their own; i respect that, each to his own. I think the less i train them, the more they grow. I've never done any preacher/curl/dumbell stuff, yet i've always squatted a fair amount and chinned quite a lot. Might sound daft, but i'm sure holding the bar during squats hit them somehow. Thats the only way i can explain myself their growth, never done any proper biceps training.

I've never let it bother me. I mix my routine up all the time so have done both.
