Bikers ! Help needed please...[[ UPDATE ]]

UPDATE: Thanks for the help guys, Carole Nash were asking for 2500 lol.....but Ebikeinsurance done me a deal at 950 FULLY comp with this as my first bike having only passed my test 6 months ago !!! Nice one Jonesy.

Furthermore my brand spanking new ZX6R will be ready for me to collect on Friday, I will post pics up, Im so excited I can't even eat, sleep etc...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm looking to buy my first bike next week sometime, got my eye on a 2007 ZX6R...

Problem is, I've rung two companies so far and neither could even offer me a quote which I was quite amazed at. I'm nearly 28, 8 years car NCD but 0 years experience on a bike. The bike will be garaged, security etc...

If you have cheap bike insurance can you please leave their details on this thread. Thanking you.

£505 on a Hornet 600, 4 years experience, 0NCB, and 3 points and 1 pending claim! That was from Honda though, so probs not much use for the kawasaki your looking at!

Good luck with the bike mate.

But i would never spend more than £2k on a first bike as your bound to make a silly mistake on it, never mind £6k+.

    Nice bike!!
I’m in the process of getting a 2007 zx6. Georgewhite.co.uk, £5999 and 0% interest for 3 years. I’m whacking down a big deposit on one soon!!!

I can’t believe you can get a quote. I’m only 22, got one years no claims and I have got loads of quotes. Granted the quotes are quite high but that’s because of my age!

I can only really recommend a couple of cheap websites:

    eBike.co.uk
    &
    Motorcycledirect.co.uk

Alternatively the GSXR600 is a very similar bike and if you get one before the end of June you get a years insurance for £99

A bike will only go as fast as you want it to!!

As long as your safe on the road and ride sensibly then you should be fine on zx6 (until your used to the bike that is, then open her up and have some fun! )

    hi mate ...

in my experience i have found it has to be www.motorcycledirect.co.uk every time ...

i am 26 and have just bought a 2005 Ducati 749S , the TPFF quote came in at £289
( i do have full no claims though i suppose ) but saying that i would still give them a try , i was with bennets before that and a mate suggested i try motorcycle direct , and wow they were something stipid like £200 cheaper for my last bike , which was a 04 suzuki sv1000s.

Try them im sure you will not reget the call ... GOOD LUCK

    Dude,

I got mine from Lloyd Cooper in Watford, Hertfordshire.

Brilliant guys. Same sort of deal. 5999 for the bike, plus I got the R&G bungs, Double bubble screen, Seat cowl for another 300 all in. And I got a datatool S4 fitted for 340...total came to 6648.......put down a big deposit and now im paying 100 a month interest free for 36 months. What colour did you choose?

Haha I was warned about the riding position many MANY times.

Just got back done some shopping, bought these as my first kit:

Arleness Jacket (Trousers are equally tasty, but they had to order them in)

    Lovely Shoei helmet

Only bummer is that the weather forecast is rain for Friday...gonna get my bike wet on first day of ownership
