Bit worried now!

Ive just been browsin alot and lately ive noticed people asking alot about body fat etc.

Ive been weight training now since january, consistently and heavy. Ive made great lifting progress and theres a definete change in my body shape, especially when im pumped in training.

I started weights cos i am overweight. I train to get big, not to loose weight. Now my question is alot of people seem to advise that u loose weight first, then weight train. But ive given 7 months hard dedication 2 this and although i havent lost much weight, i have def bulked with muscle. I am happy to continue lifting heavy but im worried i am wasting my time. I dont want to quit weights and just do cardio for 12 weeks or so. I feel i have achieved so much.

Do u think i should stick to lifting heavy or just leave the weights and go cardio for a while? I am not worried about my weight, i dont want to cut it down just yet as i am enjoying the bulked look and my muscles are growing, particularly my shoulders and arms.

Just felt a little confused after reading some posts. Any advice gratefully recieved.

    Up to you mate

Some people bulk then cut, others cut then bulk

the only eprson who can decide is you

    I'd do either

    1. cut until you don't want to lose any more muscle, then bulk
    OR
    2. bulk until you think you're too fat, then cut

Then choose the other one and repeat

So long as you're happy mate.

Remember, some people may sit at 8% and bulk to 12% body fat, others may sit at 20% and cut to 18% body fat ... all depends on goals etc

I agree with wiffers, its totally down to you mate! Bear in mind, even if you are aiming to cut bodyfat, it doesn't mean you drop weights and just do cardio, do them both! Deciding on your goals can only be done by yourself and depends on what you want more.
