Its a decent read with a lot of basic principles with regards to body building/strength training this is the routine of flat BB bench press,

bench pressing 5 days a week, 5 sets with different reps and time between sets,

eventually by week 3 (final week in programe) you do 5 days with 5 sets of 3 reps, with 2 mins rest time then of Friday you get 5 mins rest time.

You only train flat bench press 5 times a week no other body part?????

I have that routine and it looks sound, but you need time to dedicate yourself to it, with good preparation. I haven't done it yet, since when I first purchased it, I had an injury which set me back a long way. I'm almost 100% there now, so may give it a go soon. The routine also contains an assistance routine covering shoulders, back, abs, tris, and legs. I've had some very good articles from Lee Hayward on diiferent aspects of bodybuilding and strength training and several people have made impressive gains on this routine, its been very well thought out.

I've stopped getting hung up on low rep chest strength and started an FST-7 routine. I feel better for it.

    You bench heavy anyway.

I should add if your tech isn't good then shape that up. If you use very flared arms, very flat back, high touch and no setting of the upper back/scaps. Kinda the typicaly done press then I wouldn't do it as your shoulder will get beat up.

There's no need to uber arched PL style but getting the upper back set, tucking elbows in a bit, touching on ther lower chest and not to wide hand spacing will help to save the shoulders.

I just read the bit about training no other body group. Don't do that! You'll really hurt you shoulders then. Add a couple of lifts to each session. Def do some upper back work every session. Dosn't have to be heavy, some light pulldowns or bent over raises/machine rear delts would be good to do.

I think ill give it a blast in a couple of weeks just to see how i get on, as my chest is pretty pathetic.

Ive recently started to stop the bar an inch or so above my chest and wow does it feel better on my RC's, I find i bring the bar down a lot slower aswell.

Ive done a few searches and seen folks really benefit from this blast routine, so worth ago i recons

Its a decent routine from a well known guy. You need to see the whole routine to understand it, its very well thought out and presented has produced impressive results.  Seeing a snippet is not a good way to appreciate it.

No, I haven't used it yet, but plan to at some point, you have to dedicate yourself to it. I have written my plan out from reading the program, so I am ready to do it. But currently I only train twice a week so I would need to be able to spend more time at the gym.

Lee Hayward is certainly not a fly by night.. There are enough testimonials from people, some of whom are powerlifters with decent lifts. I've been on his email list for a while and have received some very good articles not just on training but on diet and supplements. He has a web tv broadcast at times too..

Folks, I've just come through lee H's routine and pushed my Bench PB to 160. I've been very impressed with the routine after becoming stale on the scott M 6 x 3 routine. My PB was 155 however when starting this routine I had dropped to 150 (a very tough 150) due to an injury (my whole chest strength dropped right back below the 150 to be honest).

The routine includes good information on correct bench form, and I've had no shoulder problems whilst following it and the 160 was comfortable so there may be more there. All in all, I'm impressed with it.

I didn't do the 5 days a week and there is an routine for those following 3 days a week (which I did). I will be doing the routine again as other people have made gains 3 routines on the trot.
