Blocked Nostril

I have always had my left nostril blocked, if i close the right side i cant breathe in through the left for love nor money.
Today while on the treadmill it suddenly unblocked itself and its really noticable being able to take in x2 the normal air through the nose.

Is this pollets  or something else?

Not looking for 'go to the GP' advice, just wondered if anyone has the same issue

    Sounds like sinuses.
    Do you still smoke?
    Any glue ear symptoms?

    Yes, I get similar issues.
When I smoke, it comes back.
When I don't, it goes away (for the best part).

My brother had to have an operation recently on his nose due to a sinus problem caused from Thai boxing years ago.

I think I have an allergy of some sort as my nasal passages are never clear.  I use one of those nasal pumps before I go to bed and that clears it enough for sleep.

Neti Pot, my wife gets a constant blocked sinus condition, and using a neti pot has pretty much sorted everything out

My left nostril is blocked most of the time, put it down to having my nose broken in the past and something inside blocking air flow. Don't really notice it anymore, had problems with it since I was a kid.

i have had my nose broken in the past through sparring and always had it from my teens.

could be sinuses, my dad has this weird sinus flushing kit, like a water pump. I think i'll leave it blocked

Same here, my nose is still bent from a sly backfist years ago.
Sinuses have been a bit wonk ever since.

Try cutting out the cigarettes if you still smoke anyway.
Does make a pretty major difference to sinus problems.

Yeah this would be my worst nightmare, i hate having a blocked nose. Altho it often happens i'm extremely glad when it goes, hate not being able to breath properly.

I find when using those nasal sprays the blocked nose won't go away completely if you keep using them. Bite the buttle and stop for a few weeks and see if it clears up on its own accord, this is my experience with nasal sprays.

I have this problem, probably due to having my nose broke twice.

If you love something let it go,if it comes back to you it's yours,if it doesn't it never was.

Can't remember the name but I've used one before, I likened it to the taste of vomit and seawater.

Could be deviated nasal septum/polyps/large turbinates, might be worth getting it looked at if its causing you jip.

Had mine reduced via  surgery   last year ( inferior   or lower turbinates ) as they were  causing me problems at night  ,  as I  have to wear a CPAP device due to sleep  apnea  .

Turbinates  are  weird  things,  they   are  bits of bone  covered  in  tissue   that has an "erectile  capacity"  and can  swell  with  blood like other  bits  of the  body    ,  Google  it  to  see. This is to  reduce  cold air  and dust.  The  functions of the nose include  Warming  , Cleaning   and moistening   the  air.

Noticeable  difference  in breathing  and my nose now blocks less  and clears  faster when  I have   a cold .  My  sense  of   is  better  too.

Can't  imagine  a Turbinate  "suddenly   unblocking"   though.
