Board Games

I have always enjoyed board games, right from a young kid - and I enjoy playing them with my kids now.

I like Monopoly (as long as it's not too often), Trivial Pursuit, Battleships, Cluedo and Frustration as well as cards.

Am I the only geek here, or do other MTers play?

You can't beat a good game of connect 4!

I do love it at xmas when the family are all together and the board games come out, a few drinks and a good laugh.

Apparently the Germans are mad on board games, there was a news clip about in the news and online a few weeks ago when they were having an annual convention where new board games are introduced.

I love boardgames, there are loads of really great, really immersive ones out there these days that go way beyond the run-of-the-mill things like Monopoly! (Though I have that too, and the basics like Pictionary, Scrabble and Cranium).

I've got Eldritch Horror, Talisman (Revised 4th Edition) and King of New York (just got it yesterday), the biggest problem is finding people to play them as a lot of people will just think it's too geeky/naff and not be interested. I'm a huge geek though so I love it!

Yeah I enjoy the odd board game, - chess an all time favourite.

Funny, sociable pictionary type ones are always a laugh in a group..

Our family have always enjoyed cards also... play for a bit of trivial cash to make it more interesting, always a laugh and very sociable

You'd get on great with my brother he loves all those kind of Board Games.
Keeps trying to get me to play Cards against Hummanity at the moment lol

He works for Weyland games & his flat currently looks like an overspill from their warehouse with the amount of one's he's picked up over the months.

He was talking about that King of New York as well the other day but I've never played it.

Not board game really but I'm quite addicted to the Marvel Dice Master games at the moment
