Board Names
I know my board name may be a little risque but in all seriousness does anyone else think that politically motivated board names should be allowed or should they be banned or discouraged from the forum? i.e anything containing terrorist, jihad, fenian etc

Ive never seen any username like that here? They should be discouraged... i dont see why someone would want a name like that though.

I don't really see what people are trying to prove with names like that, it just gets my goat. Genics did you go to watch the Alex Arthur fight last night, it sounds as if it was a good one?

Fenian is a term used since the 1860s for an Irish nationalist who espouses or is perceived to espouse violence against British rule, usually by people opposed to their aims. It can also specifically refer to members of the Irish Republican Brotherhood. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fenian

What if the person who used that as a boardname had a surname that was Fenian, or Jihad, or anythign like that. would you tell him to change his boardname then?

I must admit, I saw the boardname "Armalite" something or other, and it gave me a little shiver, having lost a couple of good mates in Northern Ireland. BTW, I don't mean to slag off the guy who has the name, as I'm sure it means something different to him, it's just that to me personally. it has unpleasant connotations. Oldgit

Guys, we have previously had board names that have been offensive and they have been mailed to ask them to change (with the help of the admin team). If any of you come across a name that you find offensive for political/religious reasons etc then please mail a mod and we can take action.
