Bodybuilding Documentary

My name is John Joe Bardsley and I work for Firecracker Films, a well established British independent television company (www.firecrackerfilms.com). We have recently been commissioned by Channel Five to make an hour long factual documentary, exploring the many facets of bodybuilding. We want to speak to young bodybuilders in the UK, who are new to sport. Rather than produce a sensational film about this subject, we want to speak to people who understand the bodybuilders side of the argument, the reasons why they take push themselves to such extremes. If you are interested in taking part in the film, please do not hesitate to get in contact with me by email, johnjoe@firecrackerfilms.com, many thanks.

Exactly. Producers will probably edit comments to fit their "script".

Agreed, this should have been run past James...

I certainly wouldnt want to take part. The stigma attached to steroid will always be negative and sometime we must just accept the things we cannot change and focus on those that we can...

I've just had a look at their website, and many of their documentaries I remember as pretty good.

If they're smart, the spin would be that 1000's of 'normal' people are juicing, and they're not dying, just getting bigger, quicker.

You would defo have to don a Darth Vader mask if you took part though.

I think this would be a great idea. But I still fear the media and public views on steroids. I would be to concerned that the tv company would edit interviews to put across the negative's to help influence the viewing audience.

I wouldn't participate unless it was a huge payday, then again I don't have to worry I live in the U.S. and they have set the stage here that no matter what gear is bad and unacceptable. I disagree though.
