Bodybuilding Warehouse BCAA's

Afternoon all...

I'm going to buy some BCAA's and am trying to figure out my best option!

I love the look of the BBW ones, with the Citrulin Malate in; obviously at a glance this looks like a good thing... but obviously Citrulin powder is much cheaper than BCAA and wondered if you thought this was added as a nice little trick to make you think you're getting a better deal than you actually are?

As in, if I had 10mg of MP BCAA's, would I have to have a lot more BBW powder to get the same amount of Aminos?! Obviously this will be the case to some degree... but I'd like to know to what extent!

Cheers!

Actually I may have just answered my own question... 2:1:1 blend, meaning that I'd have to have 20mg of the BBW powder to 10mg MP pure powder... Plus flavouring which could dilute this more!

    Hmmm

What makes you think C.Malate is cheaper than BCAAs? 1kg of BCAAs and 1kg of C.Malate cost about the same.

BCAA powder tastes absolutely rank but the bodbuildingwarehouse product will taste so much better! Off the top of my head you probably get roughly 635 grams of BCAAs in 1kg of the Bodybuildingwarehouse product, but you get added Glutamine (215 grams) and C.Malate (90 grams) and it's a good price, plus it won't taste anywhere near as bad as BCAA powder.

If I use powder I just tip about 5-10 grams into my mouth and then quickly get some water in me gob and get it down my throat that way. BCAAs don't mix well in water resulting in you having to add a lot of water to make this happen.

and the 2:1:1 ratio is the ratio myprotein use for their BCAA powder as do all the other bulk websites and that is the ratio in bodybuildingwarehouse's product too.

So when people suggest 10/20g of BCAA's do they actually mean more than that, or because most BCAA powder is like above they literally mean 10/20g's of the powder?

I thought on the MyProtein one it was 2:1:1 of the Aminos.

Have I read the BBW website wrong? is that what the 2:1:1 means on there, too?

I thought that was the split between BCAA's:Vit B:Malate?

The 2:1:1 is for the BCAA's mate.

I'll always by caps or flavoured BCAA now - BCAA powder tastes like battery acid!

    Per serving:

    L-Leucine - 6.3g
    L-Isoleucine - 3.2g
    L-Valine - 3.2g

Haha so does CEE! is it much different in taste to that?!

So as far as I can see there's nothing else in the MP one so I'll be getting more Amino's for my money?! Have I got that right?

    Cheers mate!

I think that's the RRP (Tesco seem to sell it at that). Shop around and you can get it for about £35. I love the stuff, drink it intra workout and just randomly drink it during the day while at work.

It's not really the kind of supplement that you're going to feel anything from. I just 'trust' and 'believe' in the product and I think that means a lot with bodybuilding supplements.

Saying that, I do feel it definitely reduces DOMS and perhaps helps you lift more for longer.

Yeah but if it 'works' then surely you'll see a noticeable speed increase of strength/mass gain/vascularity/fat level, otherwise it's surely not worth the money?!

Ah well I guess I'll give it a go!

    BCAA plus.

All Ajipure aminos, flavoured and cheaper there than in the uk even with shipping etc.

I just put the plain (rank tasting) BCAA's into 100ml of Robinsons No Sugar cordial and top it up with about a litre of water and drink throughout the workout and it doesn't taste too bad.
