Bodybuilding and tattoos

Hi, i want to make the move from my present sports which are rugby and power lifting to bodybuilding, im 32 now and have been competing in both for a long time now and really would like to train as a bodybuilder and compete.

Thing is i have a few tattoos, i have a dragon on my chest which goes down onto my right arm but not all the way down. I have some tribal stuff on my right and various little ones on my calf wrist ect.

Question is, would i be able to cover them with some of the face tans that are around today? And be able to compete with them.

Thanks.

hi mate, i asked the same thing a couple of months ago, general opinion was that it wouldnt have too much effect unless they were really heavy thick black stuff

you will still be able to see them on stage, but not as much as normal because of the dark tan

hi mate  my training partner has just done his first show and he has a few tats!  2 weeks out from the show he started to use a dove moisturising self tan,    then 2 coats of pro tan in the last 3 days   then we used a dream tan on him on the day.  When he was on stage they did not show though    you really couldn't see any thing and he looked great best tan on the day!  and he won so don't worry about it get a good base tan for a start good luck go for it  all the best Tommy

Lee Priest seem to do ok- well, he never wins, but that is more to do with his height.

I have a lot of black tribal on arms and one delt. Was hardly noticeable under 7 layers of Dream Tan spray and a top coat of Dream Tan mousse.
