Breast milk scare: advice pls

One for my sister. She's an athlete but not a lifter. Recently she's been on a run of personal bests (cycling, 10-20 miles) and pushing herself pretty hard. She's not ultra-lean, she is on the Hays (protein and carb in separate meals) diet.

When her last period started, she got a bit of breast milk. Since that's a sign of possible breast cancer, she's scared. She self-checks regularly and feels clean. The milk was from both boobs, which rather suggests it's not cancer but some hormonal wackiness to me. She's never been pregnant, btw, and is not on the pill.

Anyone know if this is a known thing?

sorry, i missed this first time. what did the doc say? i still have milk, after kids though. i have had it for nearly 10 years the doc gave me something that they give women after a stillbirth. everytime the dose was increased it reduced but the side effects were horrible so i decided to live with it rather than take the drugs.

i do hate it though and it would be really embarrassing if i was single again.

Well, it stopped when her period stopped and hasn't come back. It may just have been a stress-hormonal blip (getting her to the doc is a trial as she's had bad experiences before), but if it recurs, I'll sedate her and drag her there. Just like getting B.A. to fly :)
