Always loads of graft mate.  I'll be honest, your training style is different to what I'm used too so it's taking a while to adjust my mindset.  It is very interesting though and I do enjoy the detail and anecdotes.

No weigh in day! You've completely ruined my day. It's a double edged sword, pizza may ruin this weeks weigh in but it sets you up nicely for next week. It all averages out in the end.

Lol. IME usually alright after a day. Good result though have a look below.

Great work on the pull ups mate, I know how long you've been after 10 reps so well done.

Cheers mate. That last rep came out of nowhere really. Probably helps that the weight is dropping too.

Thanks bud appreciate it. Sometimes I think I blather too much, but it is useful to have more details when reading back looking for points of contention.

Cheers bud! Store bought pizza I'm afraid. Definitely nicer at home though when you use a proper stone. It's all in the stone! Kids do like the novelty of ordering pizza and eating in the lounge from time to time though. Even the fussy one smashes the pizza.

Not sure when but seems I have pulled a muscle in the middle of my back. Noticed it yesterday arvo, but this morning was in quite a bit of pain. Been popping ibuprofen all day. Figured it was only a bicep day so back shouldn’t impact too much and it might actually help.

Day 2: (Bis/Calves) Wed 09/01/19 1025-1110hrs
Cut Day #59

Cable Curls 5x10: #5 x5, #8 x5, #10 x10, x10, #9 x10, x10, x10 (+#1 second set)
Single Leg Calf Raises 5x10: BW x10, x10, x10, x10, x10 (+2)
One Arm Lateral Cable Curls 5x10: (L3) #4 x10, x10, #3 x10, x10, x10 (+#1 second set)
Kettlebell Squats: 16kg x20, 20kg x20, x20

Cable curls approached with caution and strict attention to form, also stepping up the warmup. Despite this I started strong adding a plate on second set, and finished without pushing hard which is promising. Found the back didn’t hurt so much if I look up during the lifts. Calf raises completed up +2 reps with a bit more difficulty.

Cable curls added that plate for set two. Kept the remainder at 3 plates to avoid losing reps, though looking back probably could have squeezed out another set at 4 plates. Decent pump at the end of this. If anything was going to annoy the back today it was the squats. Fortunately first set went so well I decided to add weight from the second set. Last set feeling the burn but still doable. Need to experiment now the best way to train hams and glutes.

TTT - 45 mins

Moving well on the weight loss front. This morning I was 104.3kg (-1.3kg) with a 105cm (-1cm) waist, down from 8 day’s ago. This is going at a good rate now so going to keep cals around this mark for a bit. You can see from chart I am almost at the end of this planned cut, so likely I won’t hit my sub 100 target. Still happy with progress though.

Cheers!

Good weight loss this week. Over 1kg is nothing to be sniffed at especially deeper into a cut.

Good news that the back survived the session, nothing to worry about one would hope. Not planning to extend the cut to hit target then

I've had a fair few mid back muscles tweaks and have hypothesised that an awkward sleeping position is to blame. From memory, I shared the bed with the missus the night before any tweak (however I could be wrong) and as she constantly tries to shuffle over to my side of the bed (sign of being over 40) I end up with my arse hanging out the bed or having to shape myself around her.

Cheers bud! TBH wasn't really hard this week in terms of hunger either, so not really sure how it's come about.

Cheers. I'm thinking its a nerve now rather than a pulled muscle. Seemed to go okay tonight also.

Plan is once the halo and osta are done it's PCT and diet back to maintenance for a bit. I *may* try to drop a very tiny amount weekly before hitting the next cycle for a proper controlled bulk.

Days are split during the four work days to fit into an hour lunch break! Should be 'bicep and token legs' lol.

I think you are right mate quite sure it's pinched nerve. I usually get them just under shoulder blade but this one feels more middle of back. Hurts every time I try to move head down or reach forward, which makes sense as it is pulling everything tight in that area and an inflamed nerve will react. Doubt it's muscular as I can row/contract the back without any issue. Hopefully back day tomorrow will help to free it up. Worked last time.

Spot on mate usually my pinched nerve is from sleeping on my side. Not the case this time though just seemed to come on gently a few days ago, which made me think it was a pulled muscle.

I usually get an icy sensation when the missus gets close in bed lol.

So there was me sound asleep in bed after my nightshift, sheets still firmly tucked under the bed and halfway down over my legs. Without warning my left calf cramped up something horrid. (I sometimes get this and the only way to sort it is to leap out of bed and walk it off.) Trouble was my legs were still pinned... so I began madly kicking the sheets off with my good leg and trying to claw them off with my hands. That made my back nerve pain kick in so I would wrench back, which would again leave me pinned and the calf getting worse. The result was me rocking back and forward like some demented rocking horse squealing like a stuck pig.

No one came to help though. Most I got was a quiet quizzical glance by the missus when I eventually did free myself. Nice to know help would not be far away if it was terminal!

Day 3: (Chest) Thu 10/01/19 2225-2315hrs
Cut Day #60

CGBP 5x8: 20kg x5, 40kg x5, 60kg x3, 80kg x2, 90kg x8, x8, x8, x8, x5 (+340kg volume)
DB Bench Press 4x10: 35kg x10, x10, x10, x10 (+2)
Standing Cable Flyes 4x10: (L4) #8 x10, #7 x10, x10, x10 (+#1 first set, +1 rep)

CGBP stuck with the 90s today and managed a healthy volume increase of over 300kg. DB bench saw the rep I lost last week with an additional rep to boot. Cable flyes added a plate first set and still added a rep subsequent sets.

TTT - 40 mins

Back held up well. Tomorrow will be the true test.

Cheers.

Considering how heavily proven it is that women gravitate towards a life involving nurturing and caring etc they really do seem to draw a line at their other halves. My mrs gets properly pissed off when I am legitimately ill and useless, it really winds her up

Nice increase in reps and weight.
How is the Halo treating you on this run?
It appears to be going well, weight coming off but performance still there.

LOL too true! I do notice she tends to request less of me though... ie. does not demand a coffee when I get up before her!

Cheers bud! Yeah it's definitely giving me an edge. I look pretty full considering I'm on restricted cals. First thing in the morning before food I look half decent. Of note I can suck in my stomach to look completely flat now. Just need to work on holding my breath for 16 hours a day now LOL.
