Trying to get through your journal but there is a lot to get through! especially after you pointed out the height similarities between us.

I would say that we have similar starting shapes so I am interested to get through your journal to see how you and your routines progressed.
Have you always had a good bench as I struggle like hell to lift heavy which is meant to be due to arm length?

Been here a few years now mate!

To be brutally honest I have definitely made progress but I'm not happy with it. To look at me you'd think I've been lifting for about six months lol. I've worked extremely hard over the past decade to turn a skinny frame into a better than average frame. There is a photo in here somewhere comparing me from when I first started lifting at 18 to last year. Big change there but again not impressive in the end result. The last two years I have been more dedicated in terms of diet and discipline than ever. I just don't think I have the genetics to make an impressive build, and I suspect this is partly to do with my tall ectomorph frame. I'm not after huge, think more Captain America or Thor in the first two movies. A solid build with a lower bodyfat.

Benching has never really been impressive. Was stuck aroun 90kg for a long time. Up until late last year my best was 115kg 5x5. My last 1RM was 135kg. Probably still not far off that TBH. Not to mention its one of the few lifts I can actually do with the bad back! lol

Have to work with what your body allows, mate. I've noticed on my sciatica triggering days it's usually the 4th or 5th set that does me, rarely get it on the first 3

Maybe fatigue creeping in there then? I can usually tell after the set, sometimes on the first one!

Good result on the weight loss and waist measurement. Fearing the worst after the Indian! Two days on it probably increased your bowel action somewhat....

Was okay actually. Didn't go with the really hot stuff. Was careful not to stuff myself too much instead opting for a doggy bag.

I found yoga helps with my sciatica. Used to go to an osteopath, which cost a fortune to be sent away after being told I am too stiff and here are some stretches to do that will help.
Simple yoga routine works for me and I find it far easier to do and get into than just doing stretches, weirdly.

I am doing little stretching at the moment as my gym sessions are getting harder to fit into the hour break. Need to get back on it though. Never really got into yoga all a bit pretentious for me.

Cut sounds on track and a nice deload  coming up

Are you happy with how its going ?

Cheers bud. It's going well. Not sure I'll get to under 100kg (98kg was my target) but it will be damn close. On the flip side I've not lost any strength and haven't got injured. Missus has also been giving me the eye lately so a round of bedroom antics may be on the cards in the next month or six LOL

I always considered myself to be an ectomorph and was skinny until around 21 years. Had a fast metabolism as a teenager, ate crap and not enough. from 21 onwards I was a more acceptable size for someone tall but I still had an issue with my size because of years of people taking the piss. Never lifted for a long period initially years ago but made good gains. I think I was up around 18 stone with 18"+ biceps. and still a crap bench!
Your bench is better than I ever achieved. I think 50-55kG + the bar was the max for me.

There is a lot of pretentiousness about it all, but stripped back to a basic routine I find it far easier to be motivated to do than simple stretching, which is good for me as I always lift better if I bother stretching first.

I would recommend dumbell curls for the left arm as you may end up looking unbalanced ;-)

Cheers fellas.

Saul- I think 18 inch arms is a fair size mate mind you I don’t know how lardy 18 stone is -we use the metric system here in the 21st century lol.

Rad- will be using pharmacom test-e 600mg per week for ten weeks. Won’t be until around mid year though. All reviews suggest it’s a good consistent lab, however there are some fakes about.

Doing my big chest/back sesh usually reserved for mid week, but have an extra day off so decided to hit it all together. Been dreading this a bit as Im already burnt out and know I’m going to be pushing uphill hard.

Day 4: (Back/Chest) Sun 27/01/19 1535-1720hrs
Cut Day #77

Pullups: (5 sets) -50kg x5, -25kg x5, BW +2.5kg x10, x9, x7, x6, x5 = 37 (+1)
CGBP 4x8: 20kg x5, 40kg x5, 60kg x3, 80kg x2, 100kg x1, 120kg x1, 130kg x2, 120kg x3, x2, 90kg x8, x8, x7, x6, x4 (+2 90kg)
BB Incline Lying Row 4x8: (L5) 60kg x5, 80kg x3, 100kg x2, 115kg x3, 95kg x8, x8, x8, x8, x7 +4 +4 (+4 95kg)
Incline DB Bench 4x10: (L4) 32.5kg x11, x11, x11, x10 (+3)
Standing Cable Low Rows: 4x10 140lbs x10, x11, x11, x11 (+3)
Pec Dec 4x10: (L6 S3) 55kg x11, x11, x11, x10 (+3)

Pullups actually managed +2 during the course but couldn’t hold it final set losing one of them. CGBP warming up well. 130s didn’t feel good -suspect there was a little elbow flaring going on. 120s working to ensure control. Tried to add another rep here but failed that mid rep. Dropped to the 90s pushing hard by set two. Rest between sets growing here. Third and fourth lost a rep but couldn’t leave it at -2 so added a set. Might take a break from these next block and opt for flat DB bench again as forearms still not 100%.

Lying rows heavy set didn’t feel engaged at all. Will kick the heavies when I come back. The 95s felt much better so perhaps the heavy one is just too... well... heavy lol. Added another work set. Incline DB work -shoulders feeling a bit achey and unsteady now. Cranked out an extra +3 reps by adding one per set though. Cable rows adding a rep here and there for a +3 gain. Finally pec dec also chalking up a few reps using the same method.

TTT - 1:45hrs

Really slow session taking another 25 mins on top of last week lol. Done for a week now and very glad. Going to tweak routine a bit and cut volume on my return in time for PCT. See you all on the other side!

Sounds like everything has reached its peak. Enjoy the reduction in pct but keep the intensity up, don't want to lose those gainz!

1h45, Jesus wept. That's two of my sessions. I know it's your 'longer' session but I couldn't commit to that regularly.
