Yeah coming up quick.

Still getting all the stuff ready. Just going over the process again and again in my head so I don’t forget anything. Fairly confident it will go without a hitch. Sanitation is the most important bit I believe so have to remember to touch only what I need to.

Have you decided on location for first jab? Bum or leg?

It is a bit daunting but like you say keep everything clean and get your technique down and you will be fine.

The only problem I had was injecting to fast now I have slowed it down (touch wood its going well)

Not yet mate. Leaning towards bum as I read less nerve endings and easier to hit the right spot, plus if I need a band aid and I forget it’s on I won’t have to explain to the missus lol. Only down side is hard to see.

Cheers mate yes I’ve read slow is the way to go.

Quad is painless mate, stretch the area and you'll not feel anything.

Can't wait to see how you go on them.

I might suggest, with your sciatica issues, that sometimes a glute jab and the ensuing tightness and mild inflammation can add to the potential issues there. Altho you aren't near the nerve, the after effects can spread out.

Me neither mate! You mean stretch immediately before? My quads are tight like coiled springs.

I was going with the opposite side to the pain but after reading that I might be better avoiding completely.

Sold on the quad mate thanks.

I was going to say glute is dead easy mate, but after DV pointed out the possible sciatica issue's then quad seems like the best call.

Rad - yes unfortunately. I sounded her out months ago when I first started exploring the option but she was dead against it. I also was concerned if she knew about it she might use it as an excuse to take up old habits that did die hard.

Homer - definitely mate. Though I’ll have to avoid the IL band I think it’s called, apparently hurts like a bitch if you hit that lol

My use does cause something of an issue when I take up the wife's happy herb tendencies.... I try and contend that my £200 tops twice a year probably doesn't out-price her monthly smoke when you include tobacco. On the plus side, so long as she still smokes it she can't lecture me about my dabbling either so you take the win when you can

Yeah I remember you saying something similar. It’s just a door I don’t want to open. Something of a double standard I suppose but at least my habit encourages me to eat properly, exercise frequently and get blood tests.

In my case, I was dabbling when she met and she knew I was, just like I knew she smoked (only literally one or 2 a day now) so there was never much of a case to require I stop. Bit different if it's something you are bringing into your lives after the fact so to speak.

Bit of a Pandoras box for you mate....sorry to hear that tbh

I have always wondered how people explain away their huge gains to their other half when they are so against them using roids

So what's your plan lol

DV - yeah can see how that would work. I’m not TRTing though so only have to be careful a few months of the year lol.

Only missed the gym for five days but positively gagging to get in there. I feel most of the niggles have dissipated, and after a long walk sunny trek through the hills yesterday back is feeling pretty good.

PULL: Thu 16/05/19
Week 1

Pullups:
12P x5
7P x5
BW x5

BW+10kg x4
BW+7.5kg x4
BW+5kg x4
BW+2.5kg x4
BW x4
*keep feet behind, do not raise knees

BB Incline Lying O/H Wide Row: (L3)
75kg x5
75kg x5
75kg x5
75kg x5
75kg x5
*try legs loose, tense core and head up

Assisted Pullups:
8P x8
8P x8
8P x8
*wide grip and wide knees, ankles crossed

Drag Curls:
25kg x8
25kg x8
25kg x8

Lying Incline Rear Flyes: (L3)
5kg x8
5kg x8
5kg x8

Pullups aiming for 5x5. Not quite there but plenty of room for improvement in coming weeks. O/H Rows at 75kg were almost easy. Little sciatic irritation but not uncommon for this exercise. Tried a few rounds of really tightening core and think this might help. Onto 77.5kg next week as I start my steady march into the cycle. Assisted pullups going well just tapping into hard work territory. Drag curls debated about having just two sets but thought fvck it and went with three. Reverse flyes really hit that rear delt quite unexpectedly. Might even have DOMS there tomorrow.

Feel I might just have the start of a minor cold. Sore throat but none of the usual nasal and sinus fun. Should be over it before blast hopefully.

Cheers!

Cheers bud. Some were a bit heavy others too light. Hard to find that 'goldilocks' zone lol.

First leg day in a long while. With the back feeling pretty good most of my focus today was measuring which exercises were the most aggravating.

LEGS: Fri 17/05/19
Week 1

Plate Squats:
20kg x10
20kg x10

Alt Single Leg Extension: (B6/L10/L4)
14kg x10
23kg x5

29kg x10
29kg x10
29kg x10
29kg x10
*no lock out

Alt. Single Seated Leg Curls: (B6/L4/L3)
43kg x10
43kg x9
43kg x9
43kg x8

Standing Calf Raises:
BW +7.5kg x10
BW +7.5kg x10
BW +7.5kg x10

Few plate squats to warmup. Leg extensions were clicky as always and I feel that they really aren’t great for the knees, but options are limited at the moment. Four sets done without issue, very mild sciatic irritation as a result. Leg curls misjudged a bit with sets not quite making planned reps, but I didn’t really fight for it either. Nerve felt pretty good on this. Calves rocked just three sets with the weight from last block. Little time left over to treat myself to a quick foam roll.

Weigh in this morning at 101.5kg (+0.1kg) with waist 102cm (+0.5cm) from 9 day’s ago. Weight has had a few bounces since end of PCT but for the most part is climbing steadily and slowly. Chart attached for those that are interested.

Cheers.
