Nice sounding plan Brett. Are you going to be using any of your supplements to help?

Cheers bud. I still have a tub of ostarine so I plan to use that for the 12 weeks. It does help maintain muscle and is only mildly suppressive. Might buy some more for the second planned cut too.

Thanks mate. No doubt in my mind I can lose the weight, but I just hope it doesn’t cost me too much hard earned muscle.

Late start tonight so trained at my regular gym beforehand. This is as busy as it gets but the bench was still free. There was this weird bloke though that just kept staring at me. To the point where I thought he must know me lol. Nope, turns out he’s just a knob.

Nightshift: Wed 07/11/18 1725-1820hrs

Bench Press 3x5: 20kg x5, 40kg x5, 60kg x3, 80kg x2, 100kg x1, 110kg x1, 115kg x5, x5, x5 (+2.5kg)
CGBP 3x5: 97.5kg x5, x5, x5 (+2.5kg)
Pec Dec 2x10: (L6 S3) 85kg x8, x7 (+15kg)
Pressdowns 2x10: (straight bar) 100lbs x10, x6 (-2)
SLRs 2x15: 15kg x15, x12 (+0.5kg)
Seated Calf Raises 3x10: 52.5kg x11, x10, x9 (+1)

Added another 2.5kg to bench today and hit all sets. Have noticed an almost straining pain in forearms at the bottom of each bench rep though, only on the heavy sets. I think I need to work on the line as dav suggested? Filmed last set for pointers.

CGBP also added 2.5kg. Nice solid reps here possibly one more in tank but not confident. Pec dec had a short wait until it was available. Added another plate but that’s no typo. Next level was +15kg. Looked to see if I could squeeze a plate or DB in the contraption to halve that but no dice. Weight was manageable anyhow despite the loss of 6 reps. Pressdowns gained +1 but stayed with the 100lbs second set loosing -3 in exchange.

SLRs finally moved up to the 15s. Always sensitive with these losing -4 reps for the measily 0.5kg per DB. Calf raises aiming for a few more reps today so hitting 11s. Really tried for that last rep but burn was excruciating. All in all another cracking sesh!

TTT - 55 mins

Cheers!

Be careful with elbow/forearm pain bud. I've had an issue for 6 months now and I've pinpointed it to the Ulner nerve. No strength issues but hurts like hell opening door (twisting the handle) or picking up a cup of tea.
Look after those niggles.

Cheers fellas. The pain is weird, only kicks in at the bottom portion of lift. Feels a bit like my shin splints used to. Don’t feel it any other time though. This is what makes me think my line is off or something.

Strong ass bench mate...pain is an odd one...hard to see in video but are you keeping wrists tight not bending back too much? That can cause pain if its being bent back, plus leaks power.

I had major wrist/ forearm issues as most people know. Wear wrist wraps if benching Heavy! Protect yourself before you wreck yourself. Everything is connected either down stream or up stream. With Bench, it will start in wrists and that will affect forearm, elbows, shoulder. Sort wrists out and everything else should fall into place. Ankle knee and hips have the same relationship.

Are you still doing any of those wrists strengthening exercises I posted a while back. I do em everyday at my desk and arm pain is a thing of the past for me now!

Thanks bud! Yeah wrists are tight. I’ve had wrist pain before but I use a bulldog grip now and wrists are nice and solid. At least I think they are lol. Next time I’ll video a different angle.

Yeah I remember mate. No I’m not doing the exercises as frankly wrists haven’t been a problem. Pain seems to be in the forearm muscles closer to the elbow. Maybe just tendon strain? But then again I’d expect to feel that at all times. Going to try to massage it out.

Cheers bud. Hopefully won’t see him again. Was just weird. Not aggressive stare more like ‘hey you’ve got a booger’ stare.

I’m guessing from the lack of comments the bar path is okay? As I said I’ll do some more angles next time.

Lol perhaps I need to work on my stealth perving.

I have a voucher for the sport store as it happens so I’ll give the wraps a try then. Especially after what animal said. Cheers.

Thanks bud. Never seem to really get past this level for bench though. Never made it to 120kg for reps so that is a little personal goal for me.

Managed to steal another half hour sleep after finishing nights as the house was empty. Feeling pretty good.

RDO 1: Fri 09/11/18 1625-1530hrs

Pullups x26: -50kg x5, -25kg x5, BW x8, x5, x5, x4, x4, x2 (+2)
BB Incline Lying Row 3x5: (L5) 60kg x5, 80kg x3, 90kg x2, 100kg x5, x5, x5 (+2.5kg)
Lat Pulldown 2x10: (L1 wide grip) 150lbs x10, x10 ()
Machine Row 2x10: (L4 S5) 70kg x10, x10 ()
Concentration Curls 3x10: 17.5kg x10, x10, x10 (+1)
Reverse Flyes 2x15: (L7) 55kg x15, x13 (-2)

Pull-ups went well moving up +2 on last week’s session. Managed to pull neck on 4th set but not so bad I couldn’t finish. Rows added in another warmup before tackling works sets with another +2.5kg.

I’ve decided to kick the high rows in the head as it was aggravating back. Instead I’ve adopted lat pulldowns. These went well despite my arms being a touch too long for the machine. I can sit and hold the bar quite comfortably in between reps. Tried the row machine but I don’t think I’ll bother with this. Just didn’t feel right. I’ll just add more sets to the lat pulldowns. Curls just managed to hit all reps.

Reverse flyes tried to bump up to 60kg but just not happening. Rear delts already fatigued from extra rowing I think. That said managed to pump out a full 15 to start with, but lost -2 last set. Also tried DVs ‘no hands’ style. Need to have another watch as not sure I’m doing it right... or my girly wrists just didn’t like it.

TTT - 65 mins

Good solid sesh today. Off to get pizza for dinner. Only a few more days until cutting so going to enjoy it, all within current calorie maintenance limit of course!

Cheers!

IIRC my no hands style involves pushing on the fleshy part of my hand under my little finger rather than using my wrists, it's more 'no grip' than 'no hands'
