Sounds like everything has reached its peak. Enjoy the reduction in pct but keep the intensity up, don't want to lose those gainz!

1h45, Jesus wept. That's two of my sessions. I know it's your 'longer' session but I couldn't commit to that regularly.

Spot on mate I will do my best.

Yeah approaching two hours is way too long. Much of it was trying to maintain composure between sets though lol.

That GIF set off my vertigo, wowzers!!!

Solid as ever bro!!!!

Cheers bud!

Training hasn't really suffered in the cut, do we get any comparison shots this time?

See how I feel after PCT. Really not blown away by progress lately. Everything looks great on paper but just not happy where I am. I'm still carrying too much fat, but I don't want to go on a long cut without assistance. I am toying with the idea of just eating at maintenance and then fasting for a day every week to see how that goes. Don't know much about that technique though.

The gifs said all that needs to be said

I love that you appreciate the gifs

600mgs a week for 10 weeks fcukin hell your going to give Yatesy a run for his money

1 and 3\4 hours in the gym......AWESOME DUDE I would only reach that level if I fell asleep on the bench for a hour and a half

Lol. I read a typical first blast is about 500mg per week. I suppose I could do this for 12 weeks, followed by two off making a total 14 week run... but I wonder if this is a bit too long.

H0M3R_j4y
Why the wait till mid-year then? You've probably already said but I'm a forgetfull sod.

PCT mate. Currently finishing a 8 week halo cycle. When I go it wont be TRT it will just be a blast then come off again. If I want that to go smoothly I should do PCT now and have a break, let levels normalise before hitting the 'sack' again lol.

Ox
Looking forward to seeing the full dark side take effect. You were always so clear Test was off the table, whats changed your mind mate?

Basically frustrated at my level of conditioning after so many years training. It's laughable. After taking stock a while back the scales have finally tipped in favour of the gains vs. the risks. The risks I mentioned are still there but I am taking steps to minimise them.

odyysey
As said, **** waiting till July. Get your stash in and go for it!

Lol it's tempting mate but as I said above I will be doing cycles, not TRT/blast & cruise.

I think that would depend on how much extra hair I grow. I could be the centerfold in the next National Geographic.

After a few beers and a few sunburns on my toddler stricken family holiday, it was time to get back to normality and life in the slow lane.

Day 2: (Back/Chest) Sat 02/02/19 0940-1105hrs
Cut Day #83

Pullups: -50kg x5, -25kg x5, BW +2.5kg x10, x7, x6, x4, x4 = 31
DB Bench: 20kg x5, 30kg x5, 40kg x3, 45kg x3, 47.5kg x5, x5, x5 ()
BB Incline Lying Row: (L5) 60kg x5, 80kg x3, 90kg x2, 100kg x1, 105kg x5, x5, x5 ()
Chest Press: 40kg x5, x5, 60kg x5, 70kg x5, x5, x5 ()
Standing Cable Low Rows: 150lbs x8, x8, ()
DB Flyes: 15kg x5, 17.5kg x8, x8, x8 ()

Though I wasn’t officially tracking today, pullups unfortunately dropped six reps in total down from last week. Probably a result of being a kg or so heavier (spoiler) and no training. DB bench toyed with going to the 50s and fairly sure I could have managed it for at least a few sets. Left room for an increment though hitting the 47s instead. Rows probably could have done warmup better but original plan was for work sets at 100kg. Probably should have stayed there with the 105 feeling a touch too heavy but managed all sets anyway.

Decided to give chest press machine another go. 70s started out seeming heavy but got easier. It’s a bit of an odd one as you have to push a pedal to bring the weight into reach, and releasing the pedal gives you the full weight. Trouble is it’s just inside my max rom so bit of a weak start here. Just have to be careful not to get wrenched back lol. Cable rows investigated a medium height cable row but just couldn’t find the right setup to do these effectively, so just tacked another plate on the low rows. Flyes made an appearance but I think I will leave these. Just didn’t feel great in the shoulder and I always tend to get pec injuries with these as I go heavier.

TTT - 1:25hrs

Much shorter session despite all the faffing about with new exercises. Might look at changing it up soon to an abbreviated compound ex routine ie. something with less exercises but more sets in four sessions per week. Maybe push/pull with a little legs thrown in here and there.

Only a few days of halo left now before PCT. Weighed in this morning as well to make a damage assessment; 103.7kg (+1.2kg) with waist 103cm (1cm). Not the worst but still disappointing.

Not a lot of time at hand right now but I will get around to your journals for juicy numbers and gossip lol.

Cheers!

Flyes are an odd one and also being long limes aren't a favourite. But I think you would get on better with less weight and doubling the reps

I hated flys until I started doing Poliqin flys. I keeping them further back towards my head rather than over my pecs has helped with shoulder issues. Definitely helped add a little mass to my underdeveloped chest during my last lean bulk.

She said nothing. Because I said nothing. Lol. Weighed up pros and cons and I decided that fallout from a green light could be worse than actually getting found out so I’ll take my chances.

Technique aside I’m thinking I need to limit isolations purely from a time saving and weight increment aspect.

Becareful with just throwing a fasting day in. You need to build up to it and if you’ve been used to a constant supply of food you’ll struggle. If you want to do fasting, do it everyday (or min 5 days a week) Pick a feeding window. Start with 14 hour fast, 10 hour feed. And try increase it slowly over the weeks. Even if by only half an hour a time. It’s really not that hard.. go to bed and just skip breakfast (green tea and cofee!). Play with your macros and meal timings. Structure your food before and after your training. You could in theory achieve a recomp as you will be primed for fat burning during your fast and fuelled for your training.

What do you think of a reduced day then ie. maintenance six days and skip a meal on the seventh? I could probably do that fairly easily on my shift pattern TBH as one of my days is only 8 hours long.

Cheers bud feel a lot better. People have commented how relaxed I look. Didn’t know I looked stressed lol. With the kids starting full time school this week we’ve suddenly got some time to do things now. First task will be a massive purge of all the sh1t that we don’t need. Missus has been watching Mari condo on Netflix and the few episodes I saw have to admit it makes me want to sort it urgently.

So yes we’ll rested but plenty to do!

Had a little time to plan a change to routine. Have turned it into a push/pull/legs twice per week, though on my days off I have split leg day and added the halves onto the push/pull sessions. Aim is to smash muscle groups harder in shorter time. This is the first of those sessions.

Pull w/legs: Tue 05/02/19 1520-1635hrs

Pullups: -50kg x5, -25kg x5, BW +2.5kg x 10/9/6/5/4 = 34 (+3)
Chins: BW x 6/5/4/4 = 19 ()
BB Incline Lying Row: (L5)
—U/H Narrow Row: 60kg x5, 80kg x3, 100kg x5, x5, x5 ()
—O/H Wide Row: 80kg x5, x5, x7 ()
Concentration Curls: 20kg x10, x8 ()
Zercher Squats: 20kg x5, 35kg x20, x20, x20 ()
Seated Calf Raises: 50kg x10, x10, ()

In the zone today spanking pullups like the dirty hoar she is. Few reps up followed by a barrage of chins. Combating the distinct lack of chest supported rowing equipment by performing two different styles of lying rows. Repped out a little at the end. Few sets of curls just looking to finish off biceps really after all that pulling. Back sufficiently blasted.

Timed at this point -all that done in 45 mins so doable in a lunch break. Leg training has finally made a formal return. Sciatica woes still present so really just seeing what I can get away with keeping it to high reps and not going too deep. Calf started burning immediately after zerchers so I will officially call it a day with squats. May have found an alternative using the t-bar row machine. Did some calf raises before toying with the leg ext for a bit.

Time: 1:15hrs

Onto day two of PCT now. Have bumped cals by 300 to 3300 now. Weigh in a few days time to see if this is enough to reach maintenance.

Another bit of good news is my free bag of choc/caramel whey from myprotien has arrived. Looking forward to trying it. Bought some of their toffee flavouring to add to the odd shake as well. See what that’s like and will report back.

Cheers!

With sciatica as im totally clueless is this a permanent issue that needs constant TLC/maintenance or is there an end in sight to 'cure' it? Im guessing not but curious... Could just google it but better asking someone with it

Skip a meal? Or skip a day?

Skipping a meal is pointless. But a whole 24 hours once a week will have some benefit. Weekly caloric intake will be down, better insulin sensitivity and other hormonal benefits.

Glad to see you have stumbled across god's own plan. Push (with legs) / pull is by far the best setup I have ever used.
It can be done 4 days a week or reduced to 3 ABA BAB when life gets in the way or depending on bulking or cutting etc.

Great news on the commencement of the kids full time education. It is a great help not only for you but the Mrs. A happy wife means a happy life and all that.
I hope your little ones settle well into the new routine. The first couple of weeks are obviously the hardest especially to those effected by changes in routine.

Sorting my place out ready for a move and it's staggering the amount of crap you acquire of the years. Regular purges are needed every 3/5 years.

Yeah mate basically ongoing. Think of the discs between your vertebrae as tyres. One of my tyres has a bulge in it which is pressing on a nerve. If I bend or compress it the nerve is aggravated which makes the area swell causing pain. This ranges from tingling down the leg, burning or cold sensations, or my favourite -hot knives. If I avoid aggravating movements I can usually get to a point where day to day life has no pain at all.

I think I like your one week on one week off approach better. Perhaps I’ll go with that once pct is done.

Yeah early days yet but the transition seems to have gone smoothly. Not so for our study with all the custom furniture turning up, and after lugging the stuff through the door found it to be the wrong size.

Slowly getting through all the old crap though. Throwing out all my old CDs as they are on iPod and you can’t even sell them now. Mrs is frustrating though as she is intent on keeping all her VHS and cassette tapes, even though we don’t have a player for either FFS.
