Bro food that you don't like

Porridge... its like goo.  I'll just eat cold oats which is basically cereal.
Eggs.  If they're mixed with other stuff, fine, but on their own... again kind of soft or gooey.  I guess I don't like that texture.  And t hey don't really taste of much.  The best part of an egg is a runny yolk, because it's like sauce and you can dip stuff in it, like bread or chips, or other stuff we probably shouldn't be eating.
Shakes/smoothies - They can be delicious, but if I don't need to chew it, I don't feel full up.  Probably great if you're on a bulk for that reason.  But I don't bulk.
Brown rice - For me it tastes bad, it's kind of hard and doesn't clump together like white rice does.

I can't think of anything.  Shakes which are too sweet come to mind.  Quest bars maybe, I don't dislike them, but don't find they taste appealing.

Eggs and porridge are my two favourite foods
Regarding smoothies not filling you up, I agree, but have you tried using frozen fruit and veg?  Comes out like ice cream and is quite filling.  Frozen brocolli stems are good, minimal taste and thicken it with a shed load of fibre.

if you put "bro" before something it means its something that applies to your stereotypical gym guy.  Sometimes it's used negatively like "bro-science" meaning bad or over simplistic "science" often heard from bros at the gym e.g.  "I changed my routine again it's all about Muscle confusion bro, gotta keep those muscles guessing!"
But I'm just using it for fun here, not negatively.

Sorry but I like all the 'bro foods' if that's what you call them, sounds like you have no idea how to make a bowl of porridge.

They are the highlight of my day, oats milk microwave 30-60 secs, with my protein flav drops toffee or raspberry and you got a treat.

Also for brown rice try getting uncle bens par boiled, takes 10 mins and comes out how you'd want your rice, the normal stuff just takes forever and is not very enjoyable to eat, the par boiled one on the other hand is a treat and takes 10 mins.

If you love something let it go,if it comes back to you it's yours,if it doesn't it never was.

I don't like bananas. I like the flavour but can't stand the horrible sludge they become.
Rice bores me so I substitute it with red split lentils.
Lol good thread!

"Bro foods" in a nutshell tends to mean unprocessed, unseasoned, unsalted, low fat, low sugar, low GI, which all in all is more or less synonymous with bland, tasteless, dry, etc. So I pretty much don't like any bro foods.

For instance chicken breast is a "bro food". But "bros" would boil or grill a chicken breast plain, nothing added, and eat it with some equally plain rice (preferably brown). I do eat chicken breasts, but certainly not like that. I will use salt, fat and herbs preparing it, and I will eat it with some good old fashion high GI potatoes (fried if need be) or white pasta and gravy. And I'm just as likely to eat whole chicken, thighs and wings and everything, and I'll even eat the skin if I feel like it.

Life's too short to eat tasteless food.

Eating clean (as that's what it tends to get referred to as) doesn't have to be un enjoyable, a bit of seasoning, spices is usually calorie less and just makes eating more enjoyable.

Eating everything plain isn't fun and certainly isn't healthy in the long run, since you'll not be getting enough sodium to start with, and ending up with depleted electrolytes can be fatal.

If you love something let it go,if it comes back to you it's yours,if it doesn't it never was.

I can eat many things plain but not 7 days a week, 365 days per year. It just becomes boring after time, variety is better IMO

I've been there, had a diet of just plain chicken eggs, whey, brown rice, oats, water, and lots of vegetables all plain as can be with no added salts or nothing, worked out I was getting about 2 grams of salt per day over 6 months, that coupled with high water intake, hard training left me in a coma, sure I was told I was drinking too much water, and was treated with water intoxication, but the doctor put it simply and said if your diet had adequate salt, (at least 6g a day) then the water intoxication I suffered would never have become as serious as it did.

It was certainly one of the worst times of my life, laying on a death bed in a coma being told it's 50/50 on life or death, and from what eating clean with high water intake, feck that.

Since that, I have seasoning on my chicken and rice, occasionally gravy with my veg, intra shakes, and post workout shakes containing sodium and potassium and ever since I've been fine, and my diet is far more enjoyable, I never enjoyed eating that way all day everyday, it became a chore after time, if you do wish to eat that way then at least invest in some sea salt for your meals and possibly water and get that sodium in.

We talk about high sodium causing serious health issues, but too little can be far worse.

If you love something let it go,if it comes back to you it's yours,if it doesn't it never was.

I take it you were also on the bro jug? You know, like the bros that take a 1 gallon jug of water to the gym and make it a priority to drink it all?

Some people just can't seem to understand that you can have too much of a good thing.

Lol no jugs just shaker cups full with every meal, and a fair few litres while training, it was July at the time, and over the few months prior I just seemed to be drinking more and more, think I was at about 8-9 litres most days, but like I say it wasn't so much the water, it was the low sodium diet coupled with hard training and losing sodium whilst training and only replacing the fluids and not the electrolytes.

As you say, too much of anything is not a good thing, moderation is key.

If you love something let it go,if it comes back to you it's yours,if it doesn't it never was.

I like cold oats too, throw in some nuts and fruits and it's basically muesli.  Since bros aren't allowed any nice sugary  breakfast cereal, this is as close as I get.... and actually I prefer it these days.  It's weird, like when you're  a kid and you get an raisin cookie and you're outraged because you thoguht it was chocolate chip... these days I'd rather eat the raisin or blueberry one.
