Bulk buying protein

What's everyone's thoughts on bulk buying? Pros and cons? I make at least two shakes a day and also use it in my cooking so I seem to run out quite quickly... does the quality of the product decrease when opened for a prolonged period of time? Also do you notice a significant difference price wise?

If you store the whey powder correctly then it will not deteriorate quickly.
I have used whey that is well past the BBE with no problems at all.
It is a good idea to transfer the whey from bags into tubs to keep it dry if you plan on storing it for prolonged periods.

I use natural whey in cooking, adding it to scrambled eggs, using it for homemade protein bars, pancakes  etc..

I would say it is worth buying in bulk if possible although would depend on the quantity you intend to buy!
I guess more people steer clear because of the large initial out laying of a decent sized bulk order!
Then if ordering flavoured some people like some variation! Rather than being stuck with the same flavour all the time

I always bulk buy whey when it's on offer. Long shelf life and generally works out cheaper. Plus you can forget about running out of it for ages. Cons would be the initial outlay and maybe storage space. The quality is fine though. You'll hardly reach the expiry date on most whey powders. And obviously don't leave the pouch/tub open.

I go through 4kg a month sometimes more and generally we only have one shake a day each.

it's putting it in eggs , banana bread; yoghurt, cottage cheese, coffee and hot choc that uses the most.

bulk is the only way for me

    hi bud

taste is subjective , so I can say I like it , but you may not.

One thing that can be said it's a quality powder that gets tested regularly and is made on site for higher quality control.

was looking for the general consensus mate, usually when alot of people on here say its a good taste then it puts my mind at ease buying. i like the quality and unflavoured is usually fine with me as in my pre/intra work out i use 1 scoop of the pepto pro and sometimes excel (both from BBW

at the moment im using up the last of my maxi raw unflavoured and combining with 1 scoop of TPW apple and cinnamon (thanks for the recommendation on that redwing)

im giving up on branded stuff now, tried MP assault and didnt do anything for me - also got some BSN Syntha 6 which is FKIN lovely but its like 200 cals per scoop.

I like trying to get all my supplements from 1 place, maximizes discount and free shipping. This month ill be taking from BBW the below, just need to make my mind up on the isolate

    peptopro
    excel
    pure citrulline malate
    hmb

the red berry flavour is great mate can you find out why (or if BBW will) do it on things like the hmb or the CM ? i wouldnt mind it for the isolate either.

I tend to get through 10-12 scoops a day so always buy in bulk from one of the bulk suppliers, depending what offers are on etc.  Just transfer them into air tight containers and you won't have any problems.

My diets mainly vegetarian and I mix the whey up with blended vegetables drink.  Never had any stomach issues doing.  Do this as it's a more cost effective source of protein for me and a good one at that.

When I first started buying bulk, I got unflavoured as it was cheaper and I could vary flavours by using low calorie hot drink powders. There are a lot more to choose from these days, like Cadbury's Caramel, Dairy Milk Hazelnut etc. Only adds a small amount of calories but gives you option of various flavours from your single 5kg tub / bag.

yeah i bought that one as you recommended it before - it was on the BBW discount like fiver off and i was after that secret10 discount code like a crack addict to keep it under 100 notes.

i have 1 scoop of that, 1 scoop unflavoured isolate as a treat drink - thats around 300 cals for 40g protein which is ok now and again. Shame they cant alter the profile of that slightly to get the cals down.
