Bulking Length ?

I know this question has no set answer but I am just looking for a rough guide as to a time frame for a succesful bulk. I am now 84KG and naturally tall and thin, I have recently started a bulk program with a good diet of about 3500 calories a day, I work out 3/4 times per week doing weights and have quit cardio since bulking. My target is 95KG but I am wondering how long will this take and if I increased my calorie intake more could I cut the time down............

At the minute the extra weight is going straight to the gut and I am hoping that this will change soon.......

It is my first ever bulk and I just wanna have a clearer idea of where and when I am going.......

IMO, for most cases such as this:
keep bulking until your happy with musclar gains, if not slightly more and then look to cut back with the acceptance that you may lose a little muscle in the cut

    Totally up to you mate

Personally I like to lose a bit of fat if I'm looking too dumpy and soft, and then carry on as normal

This could be once every 8 weeks, or even longer

i usually do about the same, bulk for about 8 weeks or so, but once i start putting on more fat than im happy with, i cut down again. The more fat you put on obviously the longer your gonna have to cut in order to get back down to wherever your happy with.

    Try something like this;
AVERAGE DIET : FOR 185 POUND BODYBUILDER WITH MORE THAN 11% BODY FAT

    DAILY CALORIE INTAKE : 3,145
CALORIES FROM CARBS PER DAY : 1,730cals = 432g OF CARBS PER DAY
CALORIES FROM PROTEIN PER DAY : 943cals = 235g OF PROTEIN PER DAY
CALORIES FROM FATS PER DAY : 472cals = 59g OF FAT PER DAY
    55% carbohydrates
    30% protein
    15% fats
BASED ON SIX MEALS EACH DAY. EACH MEAL SHOULD CONSIST OF 72grams of carbohydrates 39grams of protein & 10 grams of fat. This diet should be combined with an appropriate training program

Don't know what percentages you are using at present but these work quite well for bulking.

    Or

AVERAGE DIET: FOR 180 POUND BODYBUILDER WITH LESS THAN 11% BODY FAT

    DAILY CALORIE INTAKE: 3,600
CALORIES FROM CARBS PER DAY: 1,980cals = 495g OF CARBS PER DAY
CALORIES FROM PROTEIN PER DAY: 1080cals = 270g OF PROTEIN PER DAY
CALORIES FROM FATS PER DAY: 540cals = 67.5g OF FAT PER DAY
    55% carbohydrates
    30% protein
    15% fats
BASED ON SIX MEALS EACH DAY. EACH MEAL SHOULD CONSIST OF 82.5grams of carbohydrates 45grams of protein & 11.25grams of fat.

These diets as you can see are dependant upon your bodyfat levels. So if your bodyfat levels are too high at present and your still taking in lots of extra cals don't IMO.

Rob - that makes no sense mate as you know very little about his situation

Pumping out figures means very little if you don't know the individuals needs

Knighty if you read what he wants, he says he wants to bulk. so based on his weight I gave him two diets. 1 for mass building at more than 11% bodyfat and 1 for mass building for someone with less than 11% bodyfat.

Ok, take person 'A', and person 'B'

both with the same stats and goals

the difference is, one works a manual labour job and walks to work every day, the other drives to work and sits on his arse in front of a desk

Do they both need to eat the same macronutrient ratios?

Yes lol if they have same stats and goals. All this tells me is the guy sitting down on his arse all day has a faster metabolism. So he will still need the intake. Hahaha sry dude couldn't resist
