I'm of the opinion that the whole fasted cardio is more trouble than it is worth (for me anyway).
I can't exercise on an empty stomach- so if it takes me a bit longer to lose the weight doing a fuelled cardio workout then so be it. I think of the extra time as "Well let that teaCh you a lesson to not get out of shape again'.
I know I wouldn't last a week doing it fasted so it is a moot issue.
As far as HIIT vs 'fat burning' type of runs.... I've always assumed, rightly or wrongly that slower 'fat burning zone' exercise is a load of ****e. I like intervals myself- it stops me from getting bored.
There might be someone out there who has more to say on it, but imho the main thing is just to do it and then find what works for you.
