Burning music onto dvd -r?

anyone know which software i can use to burn music albums onto a
dvd-r?
i use Nero and it won't allow me to do it.

any help or advice appreciated

    I didn't know you could put musci onto DVD tbh mate...films onto a CD yeah but not the other way, thought it had to be a CD...I'm no expert though LOL

    Are you intending to play this on a standard DVD player, PS2/3 xbox etc etc?

    Many of the above will actually play mp3s in which case you can get sh*t loads more on... would be better and easier than faffing around trying to burn audio like on a CD.

    EDIT: My point was in that case you can just make a plain old vanilla data dvd, which nero should do no problems at all.

    Yeah you just make a data cd but put your mp3s on it, it will be recognised as an mp3 dvd

    Only more recent players will allow you to play CD-R Mp3 compilations also some can play CD-R but not CD-RW. You can normally play copied CDs but the old players won't recognise mp3 or wma files. Also you have to have a DVD player to play DVDs. You can play CDs on a DVD player but not the other way round.

    No thats not possible unless tyour car player is actually a dvd.

    Correct. The player would need to be capable of DVD or DVD-A playback.

    Many will play MP3 files from a CD, but not DVD
