CBD Oil for sleep and recovery?

Has anybody used CBD oil, particularly for sleep, relaxation and recovery?

I sometimes find it difficult to switch off after work, which disrupts my sleep.  My partner just has a G&T or a glass of wine, but I don't drink and want to give CBD oil a go.

Are the drops the most economical way?  If so, what dosage should I be taking?

It seems to be touted as the current miracle cure for most issues at present, but from my very brief research the type\strength you use is what is crucial.

I have my theory in that it works in a similar way to fasting (which has also been hailed as a cure/aid to lots of things) in that it generally allows your body to do it's own natural healing and recovery by improving rest...  maybe...

Bought some 2.75% pills from H&B as they are currently half price.  Each contain 10mg of CBD.

Started with one pill with no discernible effect on sleep. I've increased to 2 then 3, and now sleep seems to be better (slept through last night and was surprised when the alarm went off, which has not happened for about 10 years...)

would be interested in hearing more about your findings. I looked at the oil not long ago....its very expensive! cheaper just buying weed haha. Anyway, i see a lot of BB and strongmen touting this now as a recovery aid. Need to try also.

find it very over rated, but seems to be one of the 'buzz' supplements at the moment

I wouldn’t say it is the most economical way, as it is expensive, but if there are no other solutions, then this is a good option.  Dosage really varies depending on the brand and the individual.  40-160mg is the average dosage for sleep.  Start at the low end.

So far, I've not noticed a great deal of difference, but the pill I'm using are pretty low dose (2.75%).  After these are gone, I'm going to try some 10% drops before writing it off as a pointless supplement.

Have you had a go at the higher 10% drops yet and if so what did you think?

I would be interested in this. I was using ZMA but dropped it as I was waking up during the night multiple times

Bio availability wise, apparently you absorb between 45 - 50% of the dose through vaping. I believe the drops, edibles and other forms are all less than half of that figure. So 'bang for buck' wise vaping is the most effective followed by sub lingual I believe.

Unfortunately for me it does very little but all things considered I am likely a unique case. I had a period of about 18 months where the NHS tried every drug known to man to try and basically, and I quote "Knock me out" and nothing worked for very long. Long story.

I do know many people that it does work for with regards to pain, anxiety and sleep. I am just not one of them. Suck it and see as they say. Good luck.

It doesn't really make you sleepy, just more relaxed which makes you sleep better (at higher doses anyway).

I gave some to my daughter who really anxious on her first day at a new job.  She said it helped.

The "Hype" Supplement at the moment.
Not as effective as the people promoting it are making it out to be..funny enough.

This stuff seems to get the best feedback compared to the Holland & Barrett stuff which doesn’t get great feedback.

Not tried it myself, but might order some.
