CEE mixed with food...

Anyone ever mixed their CEE in with a meal? Just thinking about eating the stuff instead of trying to drink it? Obviously if people want to take it an hour before training this wouldn't be a great option, but does it really matter when during the day you take it?

Any thoughts?

not to sure-i'm sure it should be taken with a liquid (preferably water). And it doesn't matter what time of day you take it, but most companies say either take it either before the workout, or in divided dosages before and after the workout. Similar recommendation were made with normal creatine mono-but it didn't matter really what time of day you took that - i think then same applies with cee

Well that was my thinking, i just don't see why it there would be a problem eating the stuff, after all, it'll get taken up by the body whether taken with water or mixed with food, i would have thought. Maybe it's only suggested with water for the purpose of ease of use? But as it's been stated multiple times, the stuff doesn't really like mixing! I might just get some caps like i originally planned too, i was just looking for a slightly cheaper way around things... and yes, i know caps aren't that expensive anyway!

if it doesn't mix well then you must've bought the cee without hcl, which doesn't taste that bad, but mixes like cr*p. I just ordered 100g of cee hcl from tierra (delivered next day-quality service), i figure it's better to have a cee that tastes terrible but mixes well, at least then you know that it's gonna work

If i recall correctly i think the normal cee (the one you have) will mix with warmish water ok

You're correct, i don't have the HCL type, tbh i can't see any reason why the HCL would work any better than the non HCL...
I believe, according to a few people on here, that you are right, it does mix ok in warm water, not that i tried yesterday!

its worth a try-and i'm not saying that the hcl one will work better than the other-if both are fully dissolved in a liquid then would yield similar results-but if one is only partially dissolved etc..... u get my point

I personally don't see the relevance, i may be totally wrong here, but they are still going to passing into the stomach and thru' the intestine whether partially or completely dissolved. The only thing i can think of is the speed at which the supplement is taken into the blood, the dissolved being quicker, obviously... and that's not taking into account the reaction with the stomach acid and things like that. Maybe i'm missing a blatantly obvious point about the uptake of things once being ingested???

maybe you're right-but this wasn't the case with creatine mono-so i'll assume the same applies to cee

I wouldnt mix HCL with your dinner, unless you want to riun it. ITs a chemically taste, but does dissolve well. I belive being in solution increases bioavailabilty...not sure tho.

If that's the case, wouldn't that make the capped stuff less efficient as well...?

I'll try and find out from my mate who just finished his sports nutrition module at uni this year, they covered creatine, hopefully he can clear things up a little.

Not necessarily if the capped stuff would dissolve in water outside of the caps. There is liquid in your stomach/intestine. Tho this is quite acidic so may dissolve non HCL better than water.
