Can someone please critique and give me advice in this routine.

Hi guys as the title says, a friend of mine has passed on a routine and recommended I try it as I'm looking to change things up, he says it's a version of the German volume training but changed up slightly I was just looking for people's opinions on whether this routine looks good or absolutely terrible thanks.

Incline chest press 10x10 till failure
Chest plate squeeze 10x10

Seated row 4x10

45 secs rest for all above sets

1 min rest increase weight each set.
Upright row superset with db shoulder press 4x15

Sorry bud, but there is so many better routines out there. If you are keen there is a sticky at the top of this forum.

Personally I like Frankies 5x5 or stronglifts for strength and size.

10x10 each set to fail isn't even practical.  You're not going to fail on the first set with the same weight you will fail on the 10th set, not even close.   For bench press I guess you could use your 45 seconds to take off some weight each set, but you'd be guessing completely at what rep you will fail, and it wont be 10x10 if you're truly going to failure, the reps will be all over the place.  When it comes to your plate squeezes, i'm not totally sure how you're doing them, but you will not be able to fine tune the weight very much at all so the idea of 10x10 each set to failure isn't realistic at all.

10 x 10 workouts are usually done with a low weight maybe 50-60% of your max, the first 6 or 7 sets wont be to failure, you're jsut accumulating fatigue.  The last few sets will be hell.  You wont feel like doing almost any accessories after a proper 10 x 10 workout.  If you can do 10x10 flat bench followed by 10x10 incline, the weight is probably really low, like 30% of your max, you're doing aerobics at this point.

Overall I agree with Brett this routine looks like very little thought went into it.  It's just a bro split with nonsensical rep ranges.

Everybody is having a go at it, but first what is your aim, what are you hoping to achieve, ? If it's fitness wanting too lose weight maybe, but on face value it does seem a lot of sets, I d agree 10x10 with 50/60% of max must be your starting point

    bodyweight 70k lifts in comp snatch 132.5k cl+jk 160k
    78k lifts in training sn 145k cl+Jk 170
    front squat ATG 185k x1
