Can't get pond smell out of dog's coat

His royal nads dived into a very stagnant pond today. The pong when he disturbed the water was enough to make me gag.

He's had two baths with Bob Martin dog shampoo which is usually quite effective but still smells like a stagnant pond/yeast-rich fart.

Any suggestions cos he can't come in the house until this is sorted.

Thanks.

Fairy liquid and the high pressure hose in the garden is the only way, he won't like you for a few hours mind; but what has to be done has to be done

    Cillit Bang!

    It should work a treat.

Alot of dyslexic women rushed out to buy it when it was released,

They thought it was a sex toy

It will fade in a bit. My dog does stuff like this all the time. He particularly likes rolling in something that has died.

He once stood on top of a 6 foot high mound of dry car manure and rolled all the way down it.

If its just the smell as he must be clean after two baths then I'd let him in, grin and bear the smell for the night, and then give the local dog groomer a call and take him to them to get a good wash and dry etc as they will have all the fancy soaps etc to get the smell out

or go to a decent per shop and buy some Johnsons Dog Deodorant, that should get rid of it and will be far cheaper

it may also be that he is just not fully dry yet, take a hair dryer to him and get him really dry
