I think a carb up would be beneficial definitely. I am currently cutting and following the Anabolic Diet, so max 30g carbs per day, high protein, high fat. At weekend I have a carb up consisting of both high and low GI carbs. I have recently reduced it to just Sat night - Sunday bedtime but I was making good progress doing Sat & Sun all day. I was also eating silly amounts of calories and whilst my weight hasn't altered much in the last 10 weeks, I have dropped plenty of fat.
I have added more CV now and tightened the weekend carb up to continue progressing. I must admit, last week by Friday I was dead on my feet but after the carb up I felt great and I still do now. I was in need of a rest by Wed last week but can't see that happening this week as I am completely energised.
