Carbs PWO

As I've been trying to lose weight I really haven't been taking carbs PWO (but am in PPWO meal), but have been looking at maltodextrin or WMS (if starting a slow bulk later on). However, is there any difference between these (WMS is quicker I believe...and shouldn't be taken with whey?) and say taking oats or weetabix?

what kind of diet plan are you on, sometimes TKD has carbs preWo and PPWO and leaves them out for PWO. to answer your query WMS is fine with whey as are oats and weetabix, choose which one you like, WMS is the faster of the options for replenishing glycogen

not TKD, not that advance me

Had a problem with oats + whey: kept getting an upset stomach. Might try it with weetabix and see how that goes.

When I do bulk (as I've been told it's probably best for me) I'll be coming off a ~1600 calorie diet, so will gradually increase. So if I give weetabix a try how about 2 with 40g whey?

sounds ok, if you have an issue with weetabix you could always try a couple of bananas for PWO carbs as well, or dextrose is pretty cheap as is maltodextrin.

Might pick up some maltodextrin as I need to buy some whey as well.

on the MP site it says to mix 50g - that's 190 calories! plus whey would make PWO around ~350 calories.

yeah but factor in how many calories you burn by going hardcore with the weights and it soon balances out. To bulk you need to go 500 cals over your daily maineenance levels ED so with the gym you burn more calories hence the PWO shake will get you back in energy surplus required to build muscle. Dont be scared of the numbers honestly

If your taking WMS PWO leave about 15-20 mins b4 u have your whey as it interfears with the structure of it and hinders its benefits as is my understanding.
