Cardio after weights?

Is it a good idea to do cardio after weight training? Im currently cutting and doing 3 x 1 hour cardio sessions per week on the stationary bike, and 3 sessions on the weights. what if i done an additional 30 mins cardio after my weight training sessions, that way im doing cardio 6 days a week, is there any problems with doing cardio after weights or is it all good?

It can be incorporated if you like.

What are you having PWO (weights session) and what would you have after the cardio if it were done after the weights?

Can you not do the other session in the morning? Or try something like HIIT?

PWO is post workout (so the first feeding after training - whether it be solid food or liquid) and PPWO is post post workout (the one that follows the PWO meal/shake).

thanks for clearing that up for me.

What are you having PWO (weights session)

After any session, weights or cardio, i have a 60g whey shake pwo. then my evening meal ppwo, usualy chicken with salad or stir fry or veg, something like that.

and what would you have after the cardio if it were done after the weights?

The same as above i guess as thats what i usualy have after cardio anyways, unless anyone can advise better?

Well if I were cutting, then I'd either fuel my efforts and do HIIT

Or do the cardio after weights and have the pwo after the weights.. and not in between the two.

Just done my usual legs and abs monday workout, followed by 30 mins cardio afterwards for the first time. felt good so i think i'll stick to it for a few weeks and see what happens. so thats weights and 30 mins cardio on mon wed and fri, and 60 mins cardio on tues, thurs and sat.

the preset cardio programs on the exercise bike varies between intensity levels during the session anyways, so that should be ok yeah?

yes it is good to do cardio after weights because u use more energy on a decent weights workout, u can use the rest of your glycose i think in your body to use on cardio basicallly the rest of your energy you got be carefull of catabolism.

Ah I see.. well.. to know more precisely you can always look into the Origin Health and Fitness test. You may only need to be going at a walking pace to be burning the highest percentage of fat. Or it may be at a slow jog.. It varies from person to person.

Still... the more calories you burn the more fat you burn.

There have been some interesting discussions on this topic a while ago. Older members like Naz85 and some others participated in them heavily. Quite interesting reads if you're willing to look them up or if I can manage to find some of them.
