Changing from DP keto diet to a TKD help

Currently running the Dave Palumbo keto diet with a refeed once every 7 days, had some okay results from it.

However looking to up the intensity of my cardio and weight sessions in the gym so my thinking is this will help fuel them but allow me to stay in ketosis.

So Before gym Hi GI carbs 30-40g : white bread/rice/bagels etc

After gym 30g of dextrose (2 day split so deads or squats every session so heavy stuff, hence the carbs after as well. no fat to be consumed here though)

Have i got the general idea behind it?

Any other pointers?

All fairly new to this whole dieting thing tho!

many thanks.

The way i do it is still fat/protein before training as usual
dextrose after, then meal after with root veg for carbs then all other meals only have carbs from fairly low carb veg

TKD is more about fuelling with carbs before your workout though i think.

And less about repleneshing your glycogen stores after a workout, again im not 100% though.

    16stone bang on mate

I wouldnt call it TKD, because its irrelivent the fact if you are in ketosis or not, its more of a paleo diet adapted slightly for athletes

basicaly just eat lots of meat and veg all the time and bit of detrose after training and save the heavyer veg for after training too, if anyones interested i would write what i eat in a day for eg

Thank for the detailed reply mate, looks like you get thru some food, appetite is one of my biggest down falls in this game, I sometimes feel I do not want or stomach good food but crave bad stuff LOL

With work at the mo I do have to use liquid meals at some timings but wish I could eat more like this TBH

    Thanks again
