    I seem to recall reading that the general rule of thumb is that it would take about 7 years of maintaining a desired phenotype to make that phenotype stick.
     
    Ultimately though, genetics win the day, you cannot change them.  Some people are always going to do better at the game than others.

    I would forget about set point theory - its not very helpful and to be honest genetics is genetics - either you got em or you havent.
     
    I wont rant about how so many people use such theories as an "explanation" for lack of progress when their training and diets suck worse than a $5 hooker!
