Channel 4 - Weighing up the enemy

Anybody see this last night?
Two obese people put down money to see who can reduce their BF% the most using their own technique.

One woman was vegan and insisted she started gaining weight when she started eating more beans, so thought it was the protein which made her gain weight.  She insisted that a low protein heigh carb diet was the way to go because 'its science' and has been proven (this was against Christians advice).  Result; her BF% went up due to loss of muscle and very little fat loss.

Even after she lost she wouldn't accept the advice.  You could see her in the park snacking on a baked potatoe and carrot juice...

    You can't tell some people.

She lost £100 to an odious **** of a doctor. Would you take health advice from a fat doctor?

I did enjoy this programme - they filmed part of it near us - the wedding shop those girls went into was where my mrs bought her wedding dress.

Every overweight person I know is the same, as soon as they decide to go on a diet all of a sudden they are a dietician and know best, ignoring all advice, but then can't understand why they haven't lost weight after a week. Or refuse to believe what they eat makes them fat, it must be hormones or a family trait etc, never the box of liquorice allsorts they eat everyday.

That vegan was an absolute moron. When she walked in for the final wheigh in she looked like a big wobbly jelly... Probably due to all the muscle tissue she distroyed.
