Cheap Food

Does anyone have a good old fashioned idea for balanced meals .... on a really tight budget.

Am a perpetually skint person so would like some quick and cheap ideas.

It seems most things that are good for you cost a bomb !!

Asda Low fat cottage cheese is cheap at only £1.14 for nearly 700grams, the best tasting too IMO.
