Cheese? Which to choose

I know its a good stable in the diet, but I read the labels and their very high in fat say like 30g is 33% of your daily, and i can easily eat 100g to accompany a pasta meal which isnt even that much.

So my question is, the "fat" that it comes from, is from diary so with recent research we understnad that they are better for you, butter mayo etc etc..

But the labels on cheese also say: Very high in Saturated fats, as well as the bracket of "fat" "calories" "salt" and so on.

So if your going to eat cheeses, which should you go for? The lower fat lighter equivelants, or the full fat versions since that fat itself is a good thing, providing you dont have an issue with calories :)

Hope my question makes sense what im after, thanks for any help :)

Amen!

I'll give you a very generic answer... If it fits your macros then go for it.

Cheese is a calorie dense food due to it's high fat content. Which can be good, or bad, depending what you need daily.

Personal taste I guess. Excepting real ale, a gorgeous mature cheddar or spicy Mexican cheese is my greatest weakness.
Perhaps double Gloucester or Edam for a lower fat option?

Ah okay not too complex,

Is the fat in cheese then good fat, so picking a full fat option while being more calories is still better as its more of the good fat?

So if you dont have a problem with calories  (eat less calories in other meals, burn more etc)  if thats the case then you should go for the full fat cheese option, as well as it tastes better?:)

Thanks guys pretty simple one

I love all cheeses!
Depends on your goals.
Obviously one to avoid on a cut  But 30 grams of Saturated fat a day isnt a problem.
If I am watching calories than I use strong tasting cheeses like Parmesan to still get the taste but only consuming small amounts.

Ignorance: Reassuringly Expensive.
