Chest exercise with no bench !?!?!?

Hi

I've recently moved house and have had to get rid of my bench as I don't have room for it [V] I still have all my weights but need some advice on what exercises to do to build mass in the chest without a bench !?!?!?

I really don't want to join a gym for financial and practical reasons.

Thanks.

Weighted pushups.... ie normal pushups with a weight on your back..- need a tough rucksack or similar.

and Dips.. Either weighted or not... in the corner of your kitchen units if you don't have anything else suitable.. like a pair of sturdy chairs.. or tables..

    Thanks GTM.

What's your opinion on doing flyes on the floor ???

I've also heard of people doing dumbell presses on the floor but I thought this would seriously limit your range of motion !?!?!?

Well there is nothing stopping you doing them.. but you'd be severely limiting your range of motion.. especially for the DB presses. You could try two or three very firm pillows under your back length ways. That should prop you up a bit.. give you a bit more ROM. Some people use a swiss ball.

Thanks for the advice guys, I had a go at the weighted press ups last week and found it really good

I'm using press up bars so I can get a better ROM but wanted to know if I should have my hands in the same position as you would when doing barbell bench press or the dumbell bench press, or indeed if there is any difference at all ???

sod all difference and i would even bother with the bars, just ahave a shoulder[ish] width stance, open plam and spead your fingers wide.
good luck with the best chest and tricep mass builder in the business.
