Chicken Shish Kebab.....

I have been told that a chicken shish kebab from the kebab shop is good for me because its pure chicken and no fat and will have loads of protein, is this true?

If it is true, would eating 1 a day be too much, when combined with cardio everyday, a protein diet and a 3 time a week workout?

Also, is eating 2 egg whites a day too much, and also a tin of tuna a day, is that too much?

Thanks

Have you a rough idea of calories and carbs, protein and fats in each meal, i.e. how much of each, plus how much in total for the day? ? ?

    Where's the cardio? ? ?

Im doing 30 mins cardio in the mornings that I dont work out, and also 20 mins cardio after every workout (3 times a week). IS that enough to lose weight?

    My daily intake is roughly:

    Calories: 1250
    Carbs: 73 g
    Protein: 200 g
    fat: 17 g

    Ok.

Double that food intake for a start.

Even 2500 calories isnt a lot for someone your weight.

Have a read of this article http://www.muscletalk.co.uk/article-ripping-up-guide-to-cutting.asp and have a look at the diet and what foods are in it, how much, the timing, etc...

Yes of course, thats what it is designed for.

It is also a plan for someone 210 pounds i believe, so you may not need to tweak it that much.

cool, just looked at it and it doesnt look like I need to do much different to what Im doing at the moment.

Thanks a lot for that, thats really helpful, appreciate it

One thing though, does that mean that I should stop doing the 20 min cardio after a workout?

at 13:30, what could I replace the 30g mackerel with?

at 16:00, what else would I have apart from chicken and tuna?

13.00 makerel can be replaced with other protein and healthy fat foods to meet the desired amounts.

16.00 - Any other lean rotein source.

It is different to what you're doing at the moment, you are eating too little, you need to eat a lot, lot more, 2500 would be a starting point.

So back to the original question......is a chicken shish kebab ok to eat, and if so, would 1 a day be ok? Obviously without the pitta bread

And also, surely eating less calories would mean I would lose more weight, or I have got that completely wrong?!! What is the benefit in my case of eating 1,000 more calories than what Im already eating?

    Thanks again

Because at 1250 your metabolism will be grinding to a halt.

You will lose weight yes, but it will be muscle mass and you certainly dont want that.

I would imagine its not the best choice, especially on a cutting diet.

Im doing 30 mins cardio in the mornings that I dont work out, and also 20 mins cardio after every workout (3 times a week). IS that enough to lose weight?

    My daily intake is roughly:

    Calories: 1250
    Carbs: 73 g = 292 cals
    Protein: 200 g = 1000 cals
    fat: 17 g = 153

Your diet is actually 1445 cals.

As with your cardio, that looks sound to me. Except with the cardio after weight training, dont go too hard, have some l glutamine or bcaa before the cardio and slow jog/fast pace walk/cycle/cross trainer for 20-30 mins, nothing too strenuos to make you huff and puff but just enough to make you sweat quite a bit.

Hazard a touch of narcissism without shame.
There is no room for junk food in any diet whatsoever, leave the junk in the bin.
