A view also supported by some big finacial companies as well, an interesting article as to why these companies are getting involved:

^^^ Very interesting read mate, thankyou.

If anything all this has taught me that 'common knowledge' shouldn't be trusted at face value.

Not sure if you've read either but I would recommend a couple of books related to the current food guidelines.

The first is by an investigative reporter who looked at the history of the current guidelines and why they came into being: The Big Fat Surprise: why butter, meat, and cheese belong in a healthy diet https://www.amazon.co.uk/...r_cp_apa_krAHBb2SAW2T8

The second, is about Professor Tim Noakes, a leading professor in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine who had the temerity to suggest the food guidelines in South Africa were making people sick and that a LCHF diet was much better and the attempts to silence him. The book, Lore of Nutrition: Challenging conventional dietary beliefs https://www.amazon.co.uk/...r_cp_apa_9oAHBbJ5W35CH , details not only the events of the trial where he was accused of professional misconduct but also the science of why LCHF works for so many people.

No mate I don't really get time for books in this stage of my life, but #2 certainly looks like I'd enjoy it.

I will make a note thanks!
