Cider, the decent stuff

Not the sugary **** my girlfriend likes.

Think im starting to enjoy it more than lager these days. Got some Westons Vintage and Aspall Premium Cru for this evening. Tastes lovely and is f***ing rocket fuel as well.

Any other recommendations? Sainsburys on Headrow had another decent looking one in a glass bottle with very little writing, cant remember the name though, looked alright.

    Old Rosie scrumpy! 7.3%

Quite an aftertaste to it and it gets your legs pissed faster than your head.
Playing darts after a few pints is always amusing.

Very true that about cider.  Ive seen me keep a fairly clear head thinking that the 8.5% stuff hasnt really affected me until ive got off my seat and strolled out the pub like Bambi on ice.

Ever tried Cripplecock farmyard scrumpy?  The name always makes me laugh!   Good stuff.  I like cider!

On the bottle, it's got a picture of a cockerel on a pair of crutches LOL.  I haven't see it around here really, only when down in Cornwall.

Can't get much better than magners to be honest.  when on the ran dan, I usually start the night off with a few then onto morgans and coke, doubles in a half glass, pure bliss!

    Agreed!

Magners is probably my choice in cider also.

I'm not a massive cider fan, but there's a LOT of difference between 'real' cider and the Magners / Bullmers type stuff.

    Real cider dissolves your eyeballs.

Bulmers is a bad version of magners, suppose I will have to try some 'real' cider at some point though.

living in somerset you experience real cider. The thatchers farm is one of my favourite places :D

Some of the country pubs around cheddar way have home brewed cider, pretty much poured out of a carrier bag :P

Was in the local scrote shop at noon today and had to queue behind several people buying 2 litre bottles of cider - white lightning or somesuch?

All half-p1ssed in 20p worth of clothes.

Made me feel quite sad really.
