Cleans: Back or Shoulders

If you were to include cleans in 3-day-split routine, would do them with chest/shoulders/triceps or back/biceps. Or is not realistic to try to include them in a 3-day-split.

why not have a back shoulder and triceps day cleans are mainly back i would say or you can just do i few light sets high reps as a first exercise good warm up i take this is a power clean if you did a full clean and press that would obviously warm your shoulders up. you bb guys should technically call it a power clean or a squat clean two different exercises two different results

I would put it on the back day as its similar to the deadlift in the muscles it recruits, just recruit them a lot faster.

    Howdy tuffnut,
Having done a fair bit of cleans in the past (about 170Kg max)i would do them only once or twice a week to get the best results, try not to do too much heavy leg exercises in the same session as cleans, you'll get a sort of 'neuromuscular burnout' after a month or two.
You could also try cleans once a week from a box/platform at roughly knee height (this takes some stress off the lower back, working the traps harder.)
