Closed the #2!!! pics

Hi folks,

Since DMPM vs. Vegan CoC #2 war as such public knowledge here, i took some pics.

Just tried #2, here's what i got:

http://photos.yahoo.com/myllyjp/

click on coc-2 photo album.

EDIT: had to give another try after uploading these pics because it looked like so ridiculously close in the first two pics and SLAMMED IT RIGHT SHUT! kept it shut for ages for my wife to get a pic as well, the last two are shut position, though i was trembling so much from the effort that they are not the best quality.

Lol, did't have opportunity to write VL to my wrist, i'll do that on tuesday, lol!!!!

WHOWHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO![:p][^][:p]

well done mate. How many times per week do you work with them?

I got my COC 2 this week but havent had a proper go at it yet. I can rep no.1 17 times, and have played around with strap holds etc but I think this has motivated me to train more seriously with them.

Cheers guys! Very exited about this - as you can see from the pics I used chalk, i bought some yesterday and it made a huge difference. The gripper was always slipping out of my hand in the closed position, but with chalk it stayed still.

Vetz, i tried all kinds of training with grippers, what suited me best was training often and nowhere near failure, that is almost every day or every other day, either negatives or strapholds, then couple days break, get your new PB and you will get a new benchmark again. Some people prefer training them once or twice a week, so i guess you just have to find your own pace.

next challenge? I'll get those grippers which bridge from #2 and #3 and lets see. I won't be training crushing that much anymore, well, maybe after i can rep the #2, and will do more with my rolling thunder and other thick bar lifting. Also my wrist strength is crap compared to others on my strenght level.

Thanks MT bros, DMPM, M5, J5 and everyone else for encouragement, advice and plain ass kicking!

I was just about to ask this. I've also just got some chalk, and it's made a huge difference to my static hold, hope it makes the difference with the #2 when I give it a go in a couple of days!

Congrats. Now join me on the long, hard journey to the No.3.

You gonna be getting any intermediary grippers? We've got the 210ip and 240ip grippers from handgrippers.co.uk but I swear the 240ip is harder than the No.3!

    cheers al, M5 & major!

al, no i can't, not for a while still i think. My left is much weaker.

M5, i was thinking of getting the 210ip, is that much harder than #2 then? Sounds like I shouldn't bother with the 240?

major, i already bought the #3, but it's in a box packed away. I'll take it out after I can rep the #2 for over 5 times

The 210 doesn't seem a lot harder than the No.2, but im sure our 240 is harder than our No.3... It's crazy!

Well done mate. I must admit reading all the grip posts here at MT has got me more interested to see how good I am. I may have to get some coc soon. I will start with the number two, as I am very vain and believe I'm strong LOL.

    wel done pal,
very well done. [will be quite a while till i get it i reckon, 4 months is my target - although i have lost my #1 so i can't do much training except max effort attempts on the #2]

Superbly well done, closing the number two is no mean feat in anyones book. What would you say are the aspect of your training that have helped you progress your crushing grip?

Ps. chalk makes a world of difference, along with a good set in the hand.

don't know, i think i progressed very, very slowly to be honest. I should have had this in the bag couple months ago, so only advice i can give to people is how NOT to do it, lol!

So i guess i'd say stubborness has been the most important thing too many times i felt like giving up...

    Nice job vegan,

Chalk certainly helps alot by keeping it from slipping/turning in the hand, im surprised you never tried it before. Good work!!

My No.1 gripper is currently in the post, can't wait to start training with it as my grip strength is weak at the moment.

I say it's in the post but just got another email from pullumsports saying that they didn't get all my information and this is the second time this has happened, has anyone else had problems with pullumsports?
