Competing and fat loss

I look at pics of people who compete and think they look amazing, reducing bady fat to such an extreme and training so hard I find that an inspiration. However, I look at their faces and some before and after pics and the lines I see on their faces due to fat loss...to those that due compete....question.....does the hard dieting affect fat loss on the face so much that you gain more pronounced facial lines and does it return when diet resumes to normal? Ive seen so many pics of girls in photo shoot mode, not as cut as competion, but the significant lines in their face at the age of 25ish is shocking. I would imagine this is down to reducing fat.
Anyone got any input on this???

I'm fortunate that I have a chubby face to begin with. Many competitors look older than they are because of the facial fat loss. The lines do disappear but they also look worse with dehydration not just the fat loss
