Contest prep advice, feeling ill 7 weeks 2 days out!

First of all, i'd like to say hello everyone!
I've been having a couple of issues recently as i'm currently prepping for a show 7 weeks and 2 days away, and would like your advice.
I've been in my contest prep for around 3 weeks now and have been feeling great, probably due to the fact i have a great coach who has done prep for a-lot of pro's (won't say his name as i don't like to name drop).
Today i went to the gym to hit my shoulders, normally smash them out, high intensity, strong reps and feel good when i leave....how-ever....today that was not the case. During my session i felt light-headed, and i thought it was due to tired-ness and obviously slightly low carbs, so i carried on. Then it felt like my head was going to explode and i was going to pass out, at this point i knew that my health came first over everything, and i left the gym and have decided to turn it into a rest day. Has anyone else had this problem before as i'm feeling worried about it? I'm also very tired and feel fatigued even after a good sleep.

My Diet Macro's at the moment 7.2 weeks out:
380g protein
120g carbs
60g fats

My stats:
Just turned 20 years old
6"0
169lbs
bf% needs to be calculated and will get done tomorrow

Competition info:

    Just a couple of questions;

    1. How tall are you?
    2. Has he got you doing much cardio ATM?
    3. Were you not a bit suspect at how much protein he's got you on and how little carbs / fats you have in your diet?

My worry is your calorie and carb intake and the fact you are 7-8 weeks out. You're on just over 2,100 calories and your carb intake is 120g. You feel awful on this now, to the point you're obviously concerned about your health - what happens if your weight loss stalls a couple of weeks down the line? Is he going to drop your calories / carb intake FURTHER?! Because you honestly don't have much room to play with here.

    Hi welshwizard!

I am 6'0 ft and i am doing 50 minutes cardio crosstrainer ED. I did, how-ever given the fact hes taught quite a few pro's, i just decided to go with it. That is what im concerned about, if they drop lower i doubt i can carry on, fatigue really is setting in.. What would your advice be?

    Hello :)

I'm no contest coach, neither have I competed myself, so take what I say with a pinch of salt; after all it is your body. But the deficit you're in is ridiculous considering your stats and how active you are. I can't imagine that the 2,100 calories you currently consume is that far from your basal metabolic rate (measure of the rate at which a persons body burns calories while at rest).

Again, consider your weight loss stalls and he drops your calories/carbs and introduces MORE SSCV / LISS cardio. Your body is on this earth to survive, your body doesn't want to let yourself starve- so if you go low calorie and very high activity (in which case you are), your body will reduce it's metabolic rate even further in order to prevent yourself from starving - think of it as a defensive mechanism.

You may say his credentials are great, but whatever he is preaching with you clearly isn't working if you've felt the need to join an online forum and question his approach. I know content prep isn't easy, I've got friends and family who have competed and some have reported to feel quite ill towards the back end of it all - 1/2 weeks out not 7/8.
