The cottage cheese with chives is looooovely The pineapple one though, wasnt to my tastes. The pineapple chunks just didnt 'feel' right when you ate it

I like the one with chives (I think it has onion as well?) - but not the pineapple one, I think it's a bit sickly tasting.

Love cottage cheese and pineapple. Never tried the chives, wasn't sure what they tasted of

They have a distinctive oniony, herby taste.

    Nice.

I agree about the pineapple one being sickly.

If the OP doesn't like CC though, i think he won't be that keen on either of these other versions, and might do better to try Quark with a flavouring that he likes.

Yeah Fromage Frais is great, but there's much less protein and much more carbs/fat.

    almost Dave

Fat free fromage frais from Tesco/ASDA/Sainsburys is fat free and per 500g tub around 40g protein and only 23g of carbs

Still, 60g of protein in 500g of quark.

If that low fat stuff tastes good though it's a nice option for those who don't like Quark.

it does taste nice mate, its a very thick yogurt

I like quark myself, its better for baking when you need a moist chewy texture like brownies

CC w/ chives is nice, but alot of the times I just squirt abit of tommy sauce into the tub, but of a mix and down with a spoon yum yum

How does it compare cost wise? I think I'd prefer fromage frais to quark, but sounds like you'd have to consume quite a bit more of the stuff to get the same protein.

It's more expensive than yoghurt, but not that much.

You may only be able to find it in larger stores. It is usually to be found near the cheeses and cottage cheese.

Well fromage frais translated means 'fresh cheese' so it is a form of cheese essentially, but it does appear and taste more like yoghurt yes. Nice, I like it. Keep an eye out on the fat content though as there are different types with different fat contents.
