Creatine in water, how long?

I take creatine mono with my whey post workout. If I was to add the water and mix before I started in the gym and then consume it 1 to 1.5 hours later will the creatine still be ok. I have a memory about reading something related to creatine breaking down in water and becoming useless after a certain period of time. Is this true or just another one of these theory's out there?
I'm just trying to reduce the number of containers I'm carrying around with me.
Thanks

creatine breaks down to creanitine straight away. The longer you leave it, the less usefull it becomes. never leave it for more than 5-10 minutes

Why not purchase a shaker? U can add your whey and creatine and leave it in there until the time comes to drink it, just add water or milk when your rdy and consume.

50% of creatine dissoved in water at room or fridge temperature is converted to creatinine in 24 hours. Source: my own research in an NHS biochemistry lab.

It takes 24 hours to disolve?

Or in 24 hours only 50% or it will disolve?

Or 50% of types of creatine tested?

A solution of creatine in water will be about 50% converted to creatinine in 24 hours.

This is a lie told by supplement opmpanies to sell supposedly more stable and expensive fprms of creatine.
To convert creatine 100% to creatinine quickly you need to boil it for a about an hour and a half.
It's also not destroyed by stomach acid

    Al,

Back to the original question. Would YOU put creatine in water then drink it 1.5 hours later?

oh, and supplement companies never lie.

But really I would like to know your answer as I try to drink mine the second I mix it (so i'm a little overboard)

I would drink it 5 hours later if I had forgotten it.
I usually dissolve creatine monohydrate in hot tea then drink it as I would normally drink tea.
